Itinerary
Our tour starts with a pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town at 8:00am (flexible) on this all-inclusive private tour to Table Mountain, Boulders Beach Penguin colony and Cape of Good Hope. We will have a brief City orientation tour and take a drive through the City center where your Guide will point out the historical monuments and museums to gain a better understanding of the rest of the tour
We stop at bokaap formerly known as the Cape Malay Head Quarter, here our guests can take memorable photos with the colorful houses as their backdrop. Your Guide will share interesting stories about these historical homes and the heritage of the locals who live in this community. Many of these local families originated from Asia such as; Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Philippines, Sri-Lanka.Taste the Cape Malay traditional eats such as samoosas and koeksisters, which can be purchased from the local informal traders.
We travel to the Table Mountain Cableway Station where we will take the cable car to the top of the mountain to explore. See Cape Town from the top of one of the 7 Wonders of Nature, also one of the most iconic mountains in South Africa. In case of weather adverse we will skip the table mountain and leave it for our last stop for the day.
We take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Clifton and stop in Camps Bay. Maiden's Cove is the perfect spot for you to create memories with spectacular photos as you marvel at the magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach. This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town to take panoramic photos of the Ocean, Camps Bay Beach combined with the views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay.
Travelling along the Atlantic scenic seaboard we will pass through Llandudno, famous for some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa, until we get to Hout Bay. Arriving at Hout Bay harbour, you will have the option to either take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to view the seals or you can do some shopping at the market.
Should you choose to take the optional boat trip to Seal Island, the duration will be 45-minutes. This excursion is weather-permitting. Please take along a light jersey because the temperatures tend to drop when we are at sea. Note that we will not disembark at Seal Island but will remain on the boat and view the seals from there.
Departing from Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman's Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. You will soon see why it is little wonder that Chapman's Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.
We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, with the breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach beneath us. Travellers will have the option to enjoy some of the best coffee roasted in Cape Town at the Village Roast (for their own account).
An optional stop for wine tasting at the exquisite Cape Point Vineyards will be offered. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and views of the ocean in the distance, Cool breezes from the sea make for a slow-growing season, with a late harvest that results in a truly unique Sauvignon Blanc that is recognized across the globe for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch in their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam comes highly recommended.
We explore the Cape of Good Hope and take our iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. Here we will also explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments. There are also beautiful beaches that you will see along the way, as well as various fauna and flora.
From the Cape of Good Hope we will drive to Cape Point. Arriving at Cape Point we will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. The Two Oceans Restaurant is also a good option should you wish to have a sit down lunch if it is open. Alternatively, there is also an informal eatery where you can buy a light lunch takeaway.
Our next stop will be the Penguins colony in Boulders beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins at close range. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
Our return route is past Muizenberg where you will see the coloured beach huts. The beach huts are used as changing rooms. These are reminiscent of the “bathing machine” of the 1800s, which was a cart-like structure that was wheeled down to the water’s edge, allowing the ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
Drop off will be back at guests' accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 18:00.

What a day!! Our driver Christian was amazing. We stopped off at a couple of little extra stops that we weren't expecting and I got to stroke a seallion. 😍 Christian was so talkative and didn't mind us asking all the daft questions he's probably heard a thousand times before. The wind was really bad the days prior to and on the morning of our tour and I was worried we wouldn't be able to do Table Mountain, but he arranged the day so we were able to do everything and he gave us plenty of time at each stop to have a proper look about. We took the scenic route out to Cape Point along the ocean road which was magical. We stopped at a harbour for lunch and even saw a penguin in the water. We saw several baboons, and Christian didn't mind stopping for us to watch and photograph them. He is a credit to the tour industry and a great guide. Keep doing what you're doing......
Dear Caroline, Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review. We’re over the moon to hear what a wonderful day you had with Christian. From the unexpected stops and special encounters (like the sealion and penguins 🐧😍) to the flexibility in rearranging the day so Table Mountain could be included, it’s clear that Christian went above and beyond to make your tour unforgettable. It’s great to know that his knowledge, patience, and passion for what he does shone through; he truly is a credit to our team and the industry. We’re so happy you were able to enjoy Cape Point, the scenic ocean road, wildlife sightings, and all the little magical moments along the way. We can’t thank you enough for your kind words and encouragement. Feedback like this inspires us to keep creating memorable experiences for all our guests. 🌟
Highly recommended option to know all the sights of Cape Town in one day. Our Guide, Ernesto Manuel, has been very good to us. It has been a very pleasant experience.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed seeing all the main sights of Cape Town and that Ernesto Manuel made your experience so pleasant. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for more memorable adventures.
First, Samuel our guide was a true gentleman. He was polite and opened the doors for us on the vehicle at every stop of our private tour. He made vista stops on our request to take photos. The tour was outstanding and this is a not-to-miss tour when in Cape Town. I appreciated that all tickets were included with this one. Not all tours include ticket so read carefully.
Thank you for the wonderful review. We’re thrilled to hear Samuel made your private tour feel special—from opening doors to making every scenic photo stop happen. We’re delighted you found the experience “not-to-miss” and that the all-inclusive tickets made things effortless (you’re right—many tours don’t include entries). We’ll be sure to share your compliments with Samuel. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Cape Town.
If you are in cape town or plan to visit, I strongly recommend to book your tour with these guys. They are very skillful and they know what they are doing. The tour was very informative and fun 😊
Armand was simply the best! Couldn’t have had a better guide: he not only has a vast knowledge about all the details of this great Cape Town tour itself, but about the history, flora, fauna, marine life and whatever you want to know about South Africa. This tour is a must for first timers. I absolutely recommend to do it as soon as you arrive in Cape Town. We were a family of five, and Armand explained everything so thoroughly that helped us all understand the way of life in Cape Town.
We scheduled a day tour Table Mountain, Cape Hope and Penguin Sanctuary. Our guide, Jean, was on time with a smile. He was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. He took us to all attractions and educated us about South African history. He took many pics of us making sure the beautiful landscape was included. We would highly recommend Jean for any tour. We will be back and will request him once again. Thank you Jean!
Our guide, Francis, was excellent! He was friendly, flexible, accommodating and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the day with him. He made us feel that we want to come back to Cape Town and explore more. You won’t regret.
Jack, our guide, shared his knowledge of and enthusiasm for Cape Town, Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope. It was an incredible day that we'll never forget. What a beautiful place and what wonderful people!
Great tour. Robben Island was fascinating, and guide Luther made all of the arrangements. The same for the trip to the top of Table Mountain, including some history and natural context regarding the Mountain and nearby geographical formations. Had only one spare day in Cape Town; glad I took this tour.
