You will also visit Los Cantaritos El Güero de Amatitán : A famous drinking stall in Amatitán, known for its refreshing little songs. These delicious drinks are a balanced mixture of tequila, lemon juice, orange and grapefruit, served in a traditional clay jug. Every sip of Cantaritos El Güero de Amatitán transports you to the vibrant culture and flavor of Mexico.

Had amazing time. Lalo was an amazing tour guide. He showed us great spots. Was very knowledgeable about the ruins and the town of tequila. Lalo was always very prompt and took lots of photos. Would definitely book another trip.
Jesús was our guide and he delivered an unforgettable day! What was supposed to be a family tour ended up just being my husband and I so we enjoyed being by ourselves and the ability to be a little flexible. Jesús is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Guachimontones and tequila. It was refreshing to have someone know so much about both which enabled us to really be immersed into the experience. We toured the Guachimontones archaeological site first, stopping in the cultural center for a historical movie and a look at artifacts that had been found to give you a sense as to how life was back when the circular pyramids served a purpose to the locals. Jesús gave us so much detail and was able to answer almost every question we had. We met and talked to a local store owner and also received a spiritual blessing at the top of site. Next, we wanted food before we started with the tequila drinking and Jesús took us to a very delicious carnitas place where the meat was soft, savory, and did not disappoint! Although the tour had a tequilera identified, we opted for Plan B and we’re glad we did! We stopped at Tequila Don Valente for a tour, knowledge and history of the brand, plus we sampled some very smooth, 4th generation producing tequila! Afterwards, we did a tour of the town of Tequila, visiting a beautiful church, seeing Cuervo stores, taking lots of pictures and walking the main square. Lastly, we ended with a visit to El Güero for the famous, can’t miss cantaritos and live music. Jesús was awesome - from the conversation, the suggestions, the details at everywhere we visited, the driving, and just all around a great guy. I highly recommend this tour over others if you want a true authentic cultural experience!

This tour was a unique experience. It combined a visit to Guachimontones with Tequila. Both places were enjoyable and the whole experience was magnified with the guidance of Mauricio and his huge knowledge of the arae and the Mexico as a whole. We feel really honored to discover these amazing Mexican pearls in the tour of this format.
