You have to wake up extremely early and get to Angkor Wat when it give yourself the best chance of getting a spot at the reflection pools. It is crowded at sunrise especially at the two reflection pools in the front of the temple. It is very a wonderful experience.
Angkor Thom is the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire, built by the greatest King Jayavarman VII. Stop at the south gate to capture your favorite photos before the driver to Bayon temple.
Bayon temple is exactly in the center of Angkor Thom. The Bayon's most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak.

The use of "pink" sandstone is a unique feature that sets Banteay Srei apart from the other temples. Even though the temple was erected more than 1,000 years ago, the sculptures still remain today due to the quality of the sandstone.
The Victory Gate of Angkor Thom served as the ceremonial entrance for the king and his victorious armies returning from battle, while the South Gate is the main, best-preserved entrance to the ancient city. Both gates feature the iconic Bayon-style face towers and causeways lined with statues depicting the "Churning of the Sea of Milk" myth.
