My Daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our private tour to Avila and Segovia. Our tour guide, Lewis, was available for questions prior to the departure. He was pleasant, informative, and knowledgeable. We were picked up at our Madrid hotel. The areas visited were amazing. The day and weather were perfect.
This trip is misrepresented. You do not get a guide you get a driver who gives you no information about what you are seeing. Our trip was cut short we did not see everything we were supposed to see because we were told we were running out of time. The whole trip was a disappointment. We sent the whole day and would have been better off with a recorded trip so we would have learned about what we were seeing. Driver was very pleasant just not very knowledgeable. For the price paid it was insane.
We’re sorry to hear the tour didn’t fully meet your expectations. Our guide completed the full itinerary as planned —nearly 5 hours of driving between cities plus multiple visits along the way. These tours can be demanding due to the distances involved, and the only time constraint was at the Alcázar, where the guide managed to extend the visit by an additional 30 minutes despite the timed-entry system and hurried you because of this schedule during lunch. We also want to highlight that the price paid corresponds to a private vehicle and guide available for several hours, including all transfers and coordination. Guests are welcome to verify that this cost is in line with, or even below, the market rate for similar private with only a driver. We truly appreciate your feedback and will continue working to balance the schedule so guests can enjoy every stop at a comfortable pace.
The trip to Segovia with the magnificent presence of the Roman Aqueduct on arrival and the view of the monuments and palace is a definite must. The view of the walled city of Avila just can’t be described, it must be seen in person! I also have to say that Rafa and Lulu were excellent.
Rafa was terrific. He made the experience terrific from pick-up to drop-off. He filled the car ride with great history and stories about the area. Would definitely recommend.
