We did a private tour. They coordinated transfers, tickets and the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, kind, and tailored the information to us. She was easy to understand, funny and very personable. I left with an understanding of everything and it made the museum easy to walk through alone. My teenagers loves it. I would reccomend.
Our experience was absolutely wonderful! Marika, our guide at the Acropolis, was simply outstanding. She explained everything in a clear, engaging way, was very warm and patient with children, and made the whole visit truly special. Our daughter felt amazing during the tour and was fully engaged the entire time. After that, we traveled with Andreas to the Temple of Poseidon. On the way, he shared many fascinating stories and legends, and our daughter was completely captivated by everything he told us. He also recommended a seaside restaurant where we had an excellent lunch right by the sea — a truly memorable experience. Our driver, Vasilis, was extremely careful and professional. We always felt safe and comfortable during the entire day. A wonderful team and a beautiful experience. Thank you all for making this day unforgettable for us!
Kat was our guide and she did a great job of connecting what the kids already knew to our walk and filling in so much information. This is a really interesting tour for some of the less mainstream myths and stories. She did such a great job at pacing us and being considerate to have our stopping points in shade or near spots where the kids could rest. It was so interesting to see the myths, the architecture and modern history all come together. Kat was really fantastic, energetic and fun. I would recommend this tour with her for families.
Beautiful visits to the Parthenon and Agora among others with Vassia, charming, learned and didactic, adapted to our little girl of 10 and ourselves
For this great WE of discovery of Athens, our travel agency had chosen "Alternative Athens" for guided tours and we confirm that this was an excellent choice! Thank you Elizabeth, Katerina and Leo for your dynamism and clarity of your French: we leave with many knowledge and anecdotes about the Acropolis and Mythology, urban planning and the life of the different neighborhoods of Athens, and the taste of the salty and sweet flavors of Greek cuisine. Jean-Pierre and Sylvie F. (Paris)
Beautiful culinary adventure in the main streets of Athens. The food was delicious and generous. Haris our guide is very kind, considerate and explains perfectly what he presents to us. Perfect in every way, Efkharisto
Great culinary walk in Athens with Maroussa, who is a fantastic guide. The tastings were excellent, and Maroussa's explanations of Greek gastronomy, the history of Athens and Greece, the daily life of the Athenians were exciting.
A very nice food tour with Josephine our guide of the day, speaking very well French but above all that made us discover addresses of Greek specialties simply exceptional. The 4h visit is very very hearty so if you want to enjoy to the end a tip: do not eat breakfast. It is rare that quantity and quality make good combination but there frankly the quality was at the rendezvous for all the products and dishes we tasted. On the program tasting of loukoumades, bougatsa, baklava, ouzo, different olive oils, moussaka, gyros, etc. On that day there were only 4 of us, as well as telling you that it was borderline a private tour and it was very appreciable. We went through different neighborhoods (monistiraki, plaka, shrinkri) but in the end we walk very little because the quarties are glued together. Oneiro Milos is a Young Enterprise and I think it will continue as long as the quality of its visits, at least the one we made, was at the rendezvous. Go ahead and watch!
Beautiful culinary discoveries while visiting the heart of Athens. Maroussa shares her enthusiasm for this beautiful city where it is so good to live and enjoy excellent Greek cuisine! Thank you very much Maroussa! I highly recommend!
I know Athens fairly well but Maroussa surprised me! the choice of the places is very interesting and offers an overall vision of Greek gastronomy. Maroussa also gives anecdotes, history points all along the tour and it makes sense to help us get to know the Greek way of thinking / living / eating better.
