We decided to take a private taxi with English speaking driver to see the country between Sien Reap and Phnom Penh, leaving early in the morning and getting to Phnom Penh midday (5 1/2 hours), in stead of flying (where we would have arrived late afternoon). It was a long trip but truly worth it. Our driver was Sam, he was friendly and knowledgeable in Cambodia history. He stopped at historic bridge and spider markets (he made other suggestions but we just wanted to get to Phnom Penh), he would tailor the drive to suit you. Highly recommend Sam & this as a transport option.
