Stoked Surf’s mobile surf school offers a hassle-free, tailored surf experience. We pick you up from the city in our fully equipped surf van and take you to the best beach for the day’s conditions, ensuring an optimal learning environment. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate surfer, our experienced coaches will customise the lesson to match your skill level. We provide high-quality gear to keep you comfortable in the Atlantic waters and capture action shots of your session, so you can relive the stoke long after your lesson. Pickup Locations & Times
You'll be collected from your accommodation provided you're based within 5 km of the Cape Town central city area. If you're staying outside of the city area, we'll advise where we can easiest collect you. The following is the pick-up schedule for our morning and afternoon lesson slots (please note the suburb your lodging is located in to determine your approximate pick-up time): Camps Bay: 8:00-8:15am OR 1:00-1:15pm City & Sea Point : 8:15-8:30am OR 1:15-1:30pm Green Point: 8:30-8:45am OR 1:30-1:45pm Woodstock: 8:45-9:00am OR 1:45-2:00pm Observatory: 8:45-9:00am OR 1:45-2:00pm

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Stoked School of Surf. This was my third time with the school and the first for my partner—and it exceeded expectations once again. This time we booked a private lesson together, which I can highly recommend. Everything was perfectly organized from the start, including the pickup, and the communication was smooth and professional throughout. A special shoutout to Michelle, who truly stands out with her incredible energy, patience, and teaching skills. Thanks to her guidance, my partner was able to stand up and catch her first waves within the first hour—an unforgettable moment. Overall, it was an outstanding experience (as always, I might add). If you’re in Cape Town and thinking about learning to surf or improving your skills, this is the place to go.

Absolutely fantastic! We started with the Surf/Peninsula tour. Great first day of surfing, penguins, Cape Point, authentic lunch, and beautiful drive. Second day was Surf/Wine and I want it all again! Surfed Big Bay with the most stunning view. Then on to two well chosen wineries. The food and wine at Groot Constancia were out of this world! Michelle runs a top notch business. Being mobile means she will curate the best surf spot for your ability and swell for each day. This was my second adventure with her and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stoked School of Surf!
Well organized, great first time surfing, fantastic instructor. The water and waves were just right. The pick up was on time. Try surfing in Cape Town....it's a don't miss experience.
Our first time surfing & all 4 of us had so much fun Would definitely recommend Stoked Surf School, our instructor Sam was great & Michelle gave us so much local knowledge on the drive Also the sea was warm even though it was May!

Such an inclusive and welcome group of experienced tutors who managed to get my whole family (40yr old parents, 9&11yr old girls) all new to surfing, popping up on waves with 1 lesson. In fact they were so good we rebooked for a further 2 sessions before having to fly home. Big thanks to Michelle and her team. You can’t go wrong with Stoked Surf SA! Michelle embodies what a great teacher should be. A truly fantastic experience - knowledgeable and funny. A super well traveled lady who has forgotten more about surfing than most will ever know. We loved every minute. Came to Cape Town with zero surfing ability - my wife and I left standing tall (but not too tall on the board) and a new friend to share our surfing adventures with from here on out. Riding the 2023 wave from here, should be easy! Ask Michelle about her surfing travels!!!!
