Private Sunset Tour of Cape Sounion, Temple of Poseidon & Athens Riviera

Our trip to Cape Sounion was excellent. The setting and sunset were beautiful. Dimitris was an excellent driver and guide for our trip. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. We were going to skip dinner after seeing the sunset, because we had an early tour in the morning, but Dimitris convinced us to have a traditional Greek meal. My family and I agreed that this was one of the highlights of our vacation. Thanks Dimitris!

A great way to see the Temple of Poseidon at your own pace, with stop off at lake Vouliagmeni on the way out and seafood dinner on the sea front on the way back. Peter is a great driver and convivial guide - we really enjoyed the trip (and thanks for the photos, Peter!)

Hercules was the best! I have taken many private excursions like this and have never had a driver who was a friendly and helpful as he was. He made a few stops along the way to the temple and all of the added greatly to the experience. I was also impressed with the company they were able to accommodate two additional friends with only 24 hours notice for a small fee for a larger vehicle.

Yannis was our driver for the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. A truly great excursion. He had many exciting things to tell from antiquity to the present, he stopped for many beautiful photos and subsequently led us to a super delicious, family-run fish restaurant. Simply great!

George communicated with us through the day to coordinate our pickup and itinerary. We opted for an early dinner followed by the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. During our coastal drive out of the city, George talked about the history of the area and explained a lot about the Greek culture. All of this was enlightening and interesting. The taverna had a waterside table waiting for us and we were greeted by the owner with open arms. He took us over to the ice filled drawer and pulled out the fresh fish for us to make our selection for dinner. We opted for the grouper and a Greek salad. Let me just tell you, that was the best fish we have ever had! Grilled and prepared to perfection. After dinner, we proceeded to the temple where we walked up a paved walkway, enjoying the views along the way. Not only are the ruins a marvel, you get the understanding of the importance of its location. The sunset was one of the most beautiful I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this private tour and I highly recommend George as your driver and guide - you will not be disappointed.

This was a terrific getaway from Athens. The Athenian Riviera was a beautiful part of the trip. Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon was still better with our luck being the night of full moon. Our driver, George, was pleasant and drove us in luxurious Mercedes E-Class.

During our drive out to Cape Sounion, he kept the journey engaging by sharing a wealth of information about Athens, its deep history, fascinating Greek mythology, and even current building projects happening around the city. Right from the start, he made it clear that this was my experience, constantly checking in and emphasizing that he would do whatever it took to make the trip memorable for me. Once we arrived, Peter dropped me off right at the entrance to the Temple of Poseidon. I had plenty of time to tour the spectacular ruins on my own and find the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking sunset views. What really stood out was Peter’s flexibility. On the drive back, the weather took a turn and it started raining. I decided to skip my original dinner plans and asked if we could just head straight back to the hotel instead. Peter didn't miss a beat and accommodated the change instantly. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with Peter. His dedication to his guests is unmatched, and you absolutely won't be disappointed!
