Our tour of Liberty & Ellis Islands was a very worthwhile and enjoyable endeavor. Our guide, Michael with Top Dog Tours, was great. His experience with the ferries availed us of several strategies to place us in position to avoid long lines and instead devote more time to experience the sights. His knowledge of the Statue of Liberty, from its inception by Laboulaye to final assembly on Bedloe’s Island, was very impressive. He set the stage for the tour by taking us back to New York City of the mid 1800’s. And he was able to answer our many questions. We would use him again for other tours of the City.
Patrick was PHENOMENAL! He completely blew away all expectations we had for our tour. He was very organized, friendly, passionate, and super knowledgeable. We are grateful to him for providing such a thorough tour and great memory for our family….on a very busy 4th of July!
Patrick was our private tour guide to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. He was full of information, friendly and personable. Would highly recommend him with Top Dog tours.
It was nice to have a one on one guide to be able to listen to the history instead of fighting for position in a large group setting. Cora was fun & engaging answering all of our questions.
It’s nice to hear the history with a one to one guide instead of fighting for a spot to hear. Cora was an excellent guide and fun to interact with our many questions.
Tour was not worth the money. Tour guide was 30-40 minutes late, felt rushed the entire tour, tour ended 30-40 minutes early. Did not get adequate time to enjoy the Statue of Liberty museum, pedestal/crown. Should’ve done my own tour and just did a little more reading on my own of the facts about the sites.
Patrick was incredibly knowledgeable. It makes such a difference when someone knows the history! We really enjoyed it!
Great experience and Cora was such a lovely tour guide! It was great to learn about the two islands and landmarks, and appreciate how friendly Cora was throughout.
Wow. What an amazing tour with the most knowledgeable tour guide we've experienced. Patrick was absolutely perfect for our trio and had a lot of bonus material in his portfolio that he provided as he walked us through these sites. He answered many questions, engaged in some deep historical discussions, escorted us around the crowds, took photos for us, and more. The day was what we hoped for and more.
There's something wrong with these people. I bought two tickets because that was the minimum for a tour. It's just me, but I bought two tickets. I was willing to do that because this was the tour at the time and day that work best for me. I've done this with other tours before, and I never had a problem. Well, when I got there the guide said the minimum is two people per tour. But if I paid for two tickets, what does it matter? They said it needs to be two people because it's for safety reasons and for a witness lol. What does that mean? If I wanted to run a scam by taking the tour and then claim I never got the tour or that it was low quality, and ask for a refund, wouldn't the person with me be an accomplice in the scam? How would that protect the company? It makes no sense. The manager I spoke with on the phone said when he gets contacted by Viator, he'll authorize the refund. So I requested the refund. I got an email back saying the company denied my refund request. I called the company who said they did not deny it. Then I called Viator again who called over and spoke with Nicole. He said Nicole denied the request "because he kept calling" lol. I didn't even call once! Even if I did, wouldn't anyone call for a refund when they spent $380 and didn't get anything? Like I said there is something wrong with these people. They are scammers and not to be trusted. I had to report this to my credit card as a disputed transaction. Don't waste your time with them like I did. Top Dog Tours? More like Low Down Junkyard Dog Tours.
