The guide Shane Goldie was very nice and well informed. Pretoria is worth a visit, the foretrekker monument is impressive.
Thank you Alex for the German review. Had a great day with you guys. All the Best Shane
Shane was knowedgable and friendly. Tour was shorter than described. Shane did drive us to the airport for an extra 400 rand.
Hi Barbara. This is a surprising review and factually incorrect. You where picked up at 8am and dropped off at 1 pm. That's 5 hours. The duration of the tour is between 5 and 7 hours as stipulated in the tour description. As you are well aware you have knee problems and there was certain things you could not do. I also offer all my clients an option of having coffee with the locals at my favourite coffee stop, you decided not to. No problem its just something most international travelers enjoy. Generally the tour would be 7 hours if the above where included. So the tour was not short. I also find a 3 star rating a bit unfair. Your husband during the tour remarked on a number of occasions how much he enjoyed, even suggestion it would have been fantastic if i had been you guest speaker on your Cruise. Sorry i cant agree with the 3 star rating but except it as part of the journey. I enjoyed myself and you where a great couple . All the best Shane
Shane is very knowledgeable for this region and their history. I definitely recommend Shane to anyone!
Had a wonderful time with you guys. Thank you very much for the review. All the best . Shane
excellent tour , worth doing and seeing the lovely city of Pretoria and learning the history do it and enjoy.
Thank you Malcolm. Appreciate you taking the time to do a review. All the best. Shane
The guide was excellent, very informative and friendly and the museum was really good and worth a visit. I rated it low because it’s the only place we visited, if it wasn’t for the guide it would hzz as be been lower.
Hi. I was always taught that a customer is always correct. Unfortunately this time I don't agree with the clients review. All the places where visited as advertised, except we did not stop at Kruger House as it is requires maintenance. This is the first bad review I have had on this tour so I will just accept that it's sometimes impossible to please everyone. I must say I enjoyed the clients and it was a great day. All the best . Shane
Shane is an excellent tour guide who was very easy to get on with from the start of our tour. A very interesting chap who is also full of information about the history of Pretoria and the sites. We would highly recommend this tour as you get to see the highlights of Pretoria (at your pace) including the very interesting Voortrekker monument and the Union building with the impressive Nelson Mandela statue. We were very happy that Shane was our guide & very much enjoyed our tour of Pretoria.
Hi Shan and Robert. So exciting when people visit my home town and enjoy themselves. It was a pleasure meeting you guys and i look forward to your next visit. Shane
Shane was a great tour guide. I travelled solo and had a great time. The Voortrekker Monument was fascinating. Loved going there and driving through Pretoria and hearing the history was really enjoyable. I highly recommend this trip. Really enjoyed the day! Thanks!
Hi Charlotte. Thank you the beautiful review. It is so great to see my Pretoria tour getting so popular. It's so important for my International visitors to see the other history of our country. The Voortrekkers where the most amazing hard working and brave people. All the best Shane
We decided to visit Pretoria and had an enjoyable tour with Shane. We started off at the Voortrekker Monument. It is mostly curated from the Dutch perspective, but there is a lot to see and the collections are very nicely done. Next, we visited a South African military museum. At the Union Buildings, there was a wonderful photo opportunity near the gigantic statue of Nelson Mandela. Shane also took us to the embassy row, and he talked about his role in helping to implement the security of an important building. We ended our tour with a visit to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Shane spoke with a security guard who allowed us to view the inside of the stadium, and we took a few pictures. Thank you very much Shane for a memorable tour!
Thank you Darion. Yes it was a special day. The beauty of doing private tours makes it possible to do different things. Thanks for a wonderful day. All the best and hope to see you back in SA again. Shane
Shane was very knowledgeable, friendly and we enjoyed his down to earth attitude. I would recommend him to others visiting this beautiful country.
Thank you so much for the review. Appreciate you taking the time. All the Best Shane
Shane drove all the way to Johannesburg from Pretoria, where he is based, just to host me on a tour back in Pretoria! He's a true lover of South Africa & is unabashedly proud of the culture & landscape of this country, especially so towards his home city of Pretoria. He is very knowledgeable & insightful about the history & background of the city, & is willing to go the extra mile (literally!) to show the beauty of Pretoria through his eyes. I highly recommend going on his Pretoria tours, as well as the other tours he offers for the nature reserves in the country. 10/10!
Thankyou Julian. It was a privilege showing you around my hometown. Most visitors to our country don't visit our beautiful capital city, I am hoping to change that by offering this tour and I am so happy you agree with my sentiment. I look forward to spending many happy days showing of our history and culture. All the best. Shane
