When I arrived, I thought I had booked a Russian fortress in St. Petersburg. Also everything light blue and white.Hotel lobby etc. all very generous, somewhat resembles a Turkish All in Hotel. The staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I'm currently walking with a cane. The room to the courtyard - was desired- was large, very clean, so was the bathroom. After the super breakfast - there was NOTHING missing, we went again to our already made room u bathroom. We were 2 (two) people and there was a single towel and a single face towel.I called the cleaning service and the staff member, very friendly, was amazed and did everything immediately. Same "game" the next morning and there appeared additionally two gentlemen, introduced themselves as managers and asked for an apology. All in a very friendly tone. - Breakfast room: went in and a voice from somewhere shouted: your room number. (please was probably forgotten) Of course we did not respond! Same thing the next morning. I then watched 3 ladies , who separated their time there, a very young one who played completely bored with her phone, folded her arms in front of her chest every now and then again with her phone ...?? Incredible!- We had booked the lounge: a also very friendly young employee showed and explained everything to us and offered us a table by the window. There were only 3 other guests there. Perfect drinks service and excellent buffet! "small but fine".On our last evening nobody served first and later a gentleman, older than the previous colleague, came, brought a large bouquet of flowers, placed it on the desk at the reception and disappeared. No food? So I went looking. This employee still needs to learn: With a half-full wine bottle he wanted to pour us, - WATER GLASS - and so I explained...and the buffet was prepared. Great, like the nights before. However, Service no! I booked a massage 45 minutes for 5.30pm, princely price. Shortly before 5pm I asked if maybe earlier , unfortunately no. So I showed up on time, I was escorted to a "dressing room", given all kinds of capes, scarves, headgear, shoe slippers, etc. and kept waiting for about 15 minutes. Back at the reception (at the spa) they explained to me, a few more minutes, the treatment room still needs cleaning!! Organization? Timetable? Another 10 minutes and it was :soon. And again... so I got dressed and wanted to leave, after 30 minutes! The manager in charge showed up and I was picked up. The lady treating me probably believed I was an enormously delicate porcelain doll and only stroked my back. What was that all about? I wanted to pay and I was offered an extension of 15 minutes? What was that all about?I was already dressed. Then it was: Invitation. Unfortunately, we flew back to Germany the following day and I explained: when we say 5.30pm, we mean that and are on time. Small tip for other, German guests. These various points of course leave a bad taste, a pity, because the hotel is basically promising, very, very clean and you are really friendly everywhere. We chose the hotel because close to the airport, out of town, quiet, with large pool, which we did not use, excellent service and "good reputation"!! Of course we will come back, this would be the 11th time in Cairo. Perhaps the various employees learned through training.
