Iconic visit to this famous square, very lively in the evening and quite noisy. There are many activities and animals in poor condition… We passed on the fruit juices and grilled foods on the advice of several locals. In summary, it is worth seeing for the experience but avoid making purchases there.
Guide available, prepared and friendly. Interesting and characteristic tour in Moroccan colors and scents. Recommended!
The main square is certainly an experience. Snake charmers, acrobats, market stalls. There’s a lot of construction work at the moment. I wondered about animal treatment. But it was a memorable experience and a must see in Marrakech.
Be open to experience Street food. The best seafood stall is Number 14. For about 5.00 dollars os less, you can get a complete seafood meal. The taste is very delicious and truly worth the stop at number 14.
For those of us who like to walk like a local, I recommend a private tour to be able to taste the customs and lifestyle.
I highly recommend having a tour guide because we went alone and got ripped off, lol! The experience was amazing even though we knew that the prices they were giving us were not the same for Locals. We got a tour guide at the market - big mistake, lol! He was in on the deal, and he took us to his mates shops where he was getting a cut! Apart from that, we absolutely enjoyed walking through the different Souks! The smells, colours, and shops were all enchanting both day and night! We had a great time either way!
A must see place if you visit Marrakech, the visit during the day is different at night, at night, everything is boiling, vendors, dancers, snake charmer...
The famous square!! A big mess , a big and beautiful "brothel " in sleeping good sense of the word of course, plus the souks around , come in and out only in 4 or 5 hours , a pure pleasure .. some will find that the sellers are a little "heavy " but honestly, they only seek to make a living , and they do not insist . A seller said this phrase "have no force to buy, but encourage to do so " I loved this phrase .. There you go, after that, what is sure is that you will pay more than the locals, even haggling, personally, I find that it remains logical, in view of local salaries.. thanks to Morocco
I had heard so much about this place... between the spice souks, which make you pay 70 € for some herbs, catch tourists par excellence, the snake charmers, take the phone from your hands and make you moral so that you pay in the end so run away I asked nothing, but good local language of the regzrde you pay... , mega polluted alleyway finally even very polluted city must say , thrashers at the start They make you believe that it is to help you obviously and finally take you to the souks so that you spend your money and pay them again ... And if you do not spend tell you that, it is indeed the Jews ... not the Welcoming. Despite everything it is a change of scenery guaranteed lol another world ... trip with my hotel for two people 140 € to go see the atlas for half a day and finally you realize that your five star hotel ripped you off by 70 €. Definitely it disgusts the country. so we can tell you my friend here my friend by the frankly 3 hour plane for that just to rip you off stay home. Too bad I believed in the legendary hospitality of Morocco.... Frankly they just look at us like a bunch of tickets we don’t have at our level we’re also poor but we saved years for it. Anyway pity for info I was at the hotel sofitel spa 5 stars ... very disappointed with the concierge scam of the hotel... after the perfect hotel! Finally 450€ per night they can! If the only positive point is the food chosen by information in one or two restaurants!!
A spellbinding Fresh juices are just falling to the ground. Do not hesitate to climb on a roof top to enjoy all the excitement of this square, just to enjoy a mint tea
