George from Chubby Fellow was absolutely delightful. He truly gave us a "taste" of the East End! We would recommend this trip to anyone!
ad an absolutely fantastic experience on our Chubby Fellow tour, and it was the perfect way to explore London through its food. From the moment we arrived, Tom made us feel welcome and set the tone beautifully by greeting us with a basil gin smash, which was such a fun and memorable way to start the tour. Tom was outstanding throughout the entire experience. He was engaging, entertaining, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful, striking the perfect balance between sharing interesting details and keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. His enthusiasm really added to the tour, and he made the whole experience feel personal rather than rushed or overly scripted. The food was excellent from start to finish. We enjoyed a great variety of dishes, and each stop felt carefully chosen. It was clear that a lot of care goes into creating the tour. One of the absolute highlights was Blacklock, where we had the most delicious mushroom and pigs head toast as well white chocolate mousse cheesecake and we actually went back that night for a full Sunday roast which all should experience if possible … pure perfecrion. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and one we would highly recommend to anyone visiting London, whether it is your first time in the city or you already know it well. The combination of great food, excellent hosting, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere made it a standout part of our trip. We will definitely book another Chubby Fellow tour in a different area of London when we return. Thank you!
We were met by Taylor outside our Soho hotel and were greeted with a basil gin smash to start the tour off the right way! Taylor was engaging, entertaining, and thoughtful throughout the tour and certainly matched the food in excellence. We had a variety of foods, and Taylor explained that each tour is slightly different depending upon group size and reservation availability of the different places that you see. The dim sum was so good that we went back for lunch another day. We will definitely do another Chubby Fellow tour in another area of London when we return.
Amazing day! We loved Sam. He was so informative and so much fun to be with. Highly recommend
Our family just returned from London and the 2 tours we did with The Chubby Fellows were absolutely wonderful and certainly among the highlights of the week we spent there. We had two different guides and ended up meeting all 4 of the Company founders (known as the Core 4) and all of them are as nice and knowledgeable as you could imagine. If you enjoy food or enjoy pubs, or if you are like us and enjoy both food and pubs then this is something that you should absolutely add to your itinerary. As a tourist in London you’ll obviously want to visit all of the famous sights (where you’ll be joined by a million other people who have the same plan) but these tours are the sort of fun, quirky activities that really make a trip special and create lasting memories. I recommend them in the strongest possible terms and give them 5 stars- or pints if you prefer.
This was an excellent food tour. George was a delight and very knowledgeable about the area and different vendors. We sampled a wide range of delicious British specialities from the market, including sausage roll, fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding, and the best cheddar I’ve had. It was enough food that we didn’t need dinner but not so much we felt overly full. The market is full and bustling, but George knew how to navigate it so that we avoided the worst of the crowds. Highly recommend!
George is a pro - delightful, witty, and very knowledgeable. He fed us a mix of great food and desserts.
We learned a lot. The diverse foods and information that George shared gave us a real London. He was a complete delight and turned a rainy day into light - literally! George’s knowledge was far reaching. Excellent plus!
This was one of the best food tours we have done. George was an excellent guide. He made our whole experience fun and we leaned so much about the history of Soho as well as the food. Highly recommend.
The Borough Market tour was great fun. Our guide, George, was very personable and knowledgeable. The tastings he chose were spot on and his descriptions of the food and related history very interesting. I highly recommend this tour and probably anything else with Chubby Fellow.
