Itinerary
Pick-up at your requested location, then transfer to Imjingak Peace Park. Imjingak Peace Park is an important historical and symbolic site located near the DMZ. It was created to remember the pain of Korea’s national division and to express the hope for peace and reunification on the Korean Peninsula. Many people whose hometowns were in North Korea came here after the Korean War because they could no longer return to their families. Visitors can see the Freedom Bridge, connected to the return of prisoners of war, and a steam locomotive damaged during the war, still marked with bullet holes. The park also has monuments related to separated families. Today, Imjingak Peace Park is a place to learn about the Korean War and to reflect on peace, reconciliation, and hope for the future.
The DMZ is one of the most important historical sites on the Korean Peninsula. During this tour, visitors can learn about the Korean War, the division of Korea, and the continuing hope for peace and reunification. The Third Infiltration Tunnel was discovered beneath the DMZ and is believed to have been built by North Korea as a possible invasion route. Visitors can walk through part of the tunnel and experience the tense history of the divided peninsula firsthand. At Dora Observatory, visitors can look across the DMZ toward North Korea. On a clear day, flagpoles, propaganda villages, farmland, GaeSeong City, and surrounding mountains may be visible. The tour also includes Unification Village, a small rural village near the DMZ where visitors can browse local agricultural products and souvenirs. It is a meaningful place to reflect on life near the border and the hope for a peaceful future. After the DMZ tour, have lunch and then transfer to Gamaksan Suspension Bridge.
The Gamaksan Suspension Bridge is a scenic mountain suspension bridge in Paju, located near the DMZ. It was completed and opened in 2016 as part of the Gamaksan Healing Theme Park project. The bridge is 150 meters long, 1.5 meters wide, and approximately 45 meters above the valley. When it opened, it was known as the longest pillar-free mountain suspension bridge in Korea. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding forest. They can also take a refreshing walk in nature and experience the excitement of crossing the gently swaying bridge. The walking path includes some uphill sections and stairs, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Drop-off at your requested location in Seoul.

Where do I begin? Had am amazing tour with our guide Ricky. From start to finish my significant other and I felt like we were the center of attention. We were picked up from our hotel (5 minutes early) in a very comfortable travel van that had cooled recliner seats in the back seat and we were able to dictate the entire day. Ricky was very knowledgeable and explained Korean history to us in terms that we could understand having only brief knowledge of the events that led to the division of North and South Korea and the politics involved. Our first stop was the suspension bridge that was a very nice way to start the day and become acclimated to rural Korea (outside of Seoul). After the suspension bridge we headed to the DMZ. All of the admission was included per the guide and although he spent a lot of time with us providing insight on the different monuments/ areas of the park and assisted us in our pictures he also gave us an ample amount of free time as well so we could do things on our own. The tour went to the Imjinak Peace Park, The Third Tunnel, The Dora Observatory and the Unification village. Mr. Ricky was with us the whole way and ensured that we understood the different areas visited and provided in depth knowledge about everything we saw. After the tour was finished he even gave us the option to be dropped off anywhere in the city in which we took advantage of being dropped off at the Seoul Tower. To top everything else off he even gave us a gift for taking his tour which we will treasure always. We would definitely recommend this private tour of the DMZ and our guide Ricky who made our tour an exceptional experience we will treasure for years to come. We hope to go on other adventures with him someday.
