Itinerary
Your Egyptologist meets you at your hotel reception in the morning. You travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to the Giza Plateau, about 30 minutes from central Cairo. You start at the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Your guide walks you around its perimeter, explains the construction theories that actually hold up, and gives you time for photos. Optional: enter inside the Great Pyramid (additional entrance fee $11 USD). Next, you head to the panoramic view point where all three Pyramids align for the iconic photo. Then on to the Sphinx, where your guide explains its history and the latest theories about its true age. Optional: a 15-minute camel ride along the desert ridge with the Pyramids in your background, arranged directly with a licensed handler. Your guide drops you back at your hotel by lunchtime.

We booked our tour online, and everything was super smooth from the moment we arrived.We booked a 7-day trip,cruise, and a few days in Cairo. Mr. Ahmed Atarius from Egypt Day Tours kept in touch with us throughout our journey and made sure we were all well taken care of during our trip. Our trip included a Nile cruise - MS Royal Princess - with 2 days in Cairo to explore Grand Museum and Pyramids. It was customised for us and we told our guide exactly what we wanted and he delivered! Our guide was Ahmed Magdy , he spoke perfect English and he was really knowledgeable. In the museum he always knew where to go first to avoid crowd and we managed to enjoy and have a nice experience without having to many people around.He also helped us with pictures, and he knew exactly which spot was good and how to stand for each picture [ like kiss the sphinx, jump in front of the pyramids etc...] We enjoyed our day, and it was not rushed. We got to see everything we wanted without wasting time, which didn't interest us. During the walk, I had a small fall, and Ahmed went to get me ice, and he really took a great care of me - really appreciated!!!!!Shukran Ahmed! Tomorrow, we continue our trip, and we fly to Luxor to start our cruise. Will update my review once that part of the trip is over.
