A nightmare experience ….

My wife and I had looked forward to visiting but had a very bad feeling from the moment we were entering the main building when we were accosted by a person almost demanding a donation. For goodness sakes, don’t promote that entry is free then demand a donation before one even enters the building ! Charge an admission fee so visitors are not aggressively accosted !! Look if you want to go to the museum in the middle of the English summer with thousands upon thousands of other people crowded together in oppressive heat, this then is the place to be. Not forgetting there are countless hordes of very poorly behaved children essentially spoiling the whole experience for all. Overall very disappointing.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your visit to the Natural History Museum. However, your review appears to describe your experience at the museum itself, such as the donation request, the crowds, and other visitors and does not mention our private guided tour or our service. As an independent tour company, we have no control over the museum's admission policies or visitor experience. If this review was intended for the museum's Tripadvisor page, you may wish to post it there so it reaches the appropriate organisation. If, instead, you did join one of our tours and there was an issue with our service, we'd be grateful if you could contact us directly so we can look into it. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

We were in terrific hands...

We were in terrific hands with Damiano!! From the beginning he gave us excellent communication about our upcoming tour. During the tour, we were amazed with his mastery of detail about natural history, and he fully entertained and educated all of us throughout. Highly recommend!

Overwhelming crowd, underwhelming tour

First, I’d never return to that museum on a weekend. Capacity should be capped at about 75% of what was there. The guide was nice, but the tour content was remedial. People nowadays get that birds are dinosaurs, let’s move on.

Operator response

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand how busy the Natural History Museum can feel, especially on weekends and during peak periods. Visitor numbers and capacity are managed entirely by the museum, and this can vary significantly depending on the day. That said, one of the key advantages of booking a private guided tour with pre-booked tickets is the ability to skip the entry lines and make the most of your time inside, even when the museum is particularly busy. Our guides are there to help guests navigate the space efficiently and focus on the most interesting highlights. Regarding the content, our tours are designed to be engaging, clear, and accessible to a wide range of visitors, including families and younger guests, ensuring an enjoyable and informative experience for everyone. We appreciate your comments and remain committed to providing a well-organised and high-quality visit for all our guests. Kind regards, Damiano DS Tours London

Private tour in Italian

We went on this tour in London with our kids and it was a fantastic experience! What about ... Damiano is topppppp , The perfect organization, he is engaging and the contents designed for even the little ones made the visit fun and instructive at the same time. The kids had so much fun that, after a couple of days of visiting the BRitish Museum with him, they immediately asked us to book another one... and in fact we did it within a few days! An activity that manages to conquer young and old, really recommended for those visiting London with the family. Last thing... Prices are more than affordable.

Damiano is a great teacher and a wonderful guide

Damiano made this a very fun experience for not only my teenage daughter, but also for us! He tailored the tour a bit more to us with medical trivia since we work in medicine, and both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised to be leaving learning new facts about pelvic bones and how they are shaped in the different groups of dinosaurs. He didn't just teach - he would quiz along the way and keep us engaged and helped with retention of information! Really enjoyed his tour and would highly recommend if you really want to learn! He was kind and engaging and so much appreciated!
