Mohammed was very...

Mohammed was very knowledgeable & kind. We enjoyed touring the Bahia Palace, the beautiful Koranic school, the synagogue, & Jewish neighborhoods & our Morroccon lunch. The souks were a great experience.

Good Tour

Guide and driver were very nice. I just don't like it when they take you to stores so you can buy something-not pushy though compared to other tours. Lots to see.

Nice Tour

This tour made it easier to see places that you probably would have missed if you went out on your own. It was a good experience if you want to have someone who is more knowledgeable of the city to go around with then this is a good option.

Fine but not the great one

It feels like my guider does not know how to communicate with their customer and he prefer to chat with driver instead of visitor. I do not feel it is worth to purchase this service

The Best Marrakech Tour!

The tour lasted just over 8 hours from 9am, but it turned out to be a quick and enjoyable time. The guides are smiley, friendly, and above all knowledgeable, and they will explain the history and intent of even one tourist attraction, allowing you to go beyond just being a "beautiful place". I can only speak a little English, but they speak in easy-to-understand and simple English, so I can fully enjoy it with only a few listening skills. The most common time allocation is around Medina, which is a reasonable walk, but it is also a very rewarding experience because you have to listen to various explanations. I was particularly impressed by the view on the roof of one of the shops overlooking the medina. The lunch place was very good, perhaps because it was particular, and the staff were very responsive. I also told him that I had to buy a toothbrush at the end, and he stopped by the pharmacy without a hint of nastiness, even though it was already overdue. This is a tour you can confidently recommend. Great satisfaction.

Best way to know Marrakech

Younis, our tour guide, picked us up at the Riad. He was super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The tour started with a trip to the Jardin Majorelle, which is an amazing place, we then walked around Medina Souks where Younis took us to several places. We had an amazing lunch with authentic Morrocan food at one the Riads (Hotels). We then continued the tour through other neighbourhoods. if you want to get to know the most of Marrakech, the full day tour is the best choice.

Walking tour of the old town and the shuk

Very interesting to do this type of visit on foot, with someone who knows the area well. The visit to the places is quick but allows you to evaluate what is interesting and deserves a later view with more time.

Excellent visit to the Medina and palaces of Marrakech

The best way to discover the secrets of Marrakech, its monuments and culture. Very interesting visit thanks to the good services of the guide, Hamid El Flaco, who transmitted to us unrivalled his extensive knowledge about the city and its traditions. Highly recommended.

Terrible Private Guided City Tour of Marrakech

My husband and I scheduled the private full day tour of Marrakesh on the last day of our trip through a third party Viator. Maroc Excursions was selected as our tour operator. Up until the point of this tour the trip had been wonderful. At the scheduled time we were met by our tour guide who seemed upset, disinterested, and unprepared. His first question for us was where do we want to go, what is our itinerary. We we completely confused because we thought the itinerary was prepared by the company. He became aggravated and disrespectful when we couldn’t provide him with an itinerary. He then decided to leave and send another tour guide after I explained that I felt uncomfortable and that his tone was disrespectful. The driver suggested to take us to the YSL museum while we waited for the new tour guide, which we agreed to. The new guide arrived (~11am and tour was supposed to start at 9am) and seemed to have a better demeanor. However, he also did not have an itinerary. At this point we were so frustrated we just said please take us wherever you suggest. For the entire drive, the driver and tour guide spoke in Arabic and occasionally pointed out a city fact to us. We were so annoyed that we requested for them to abbreviate the tour, and skip lunch. The guide ultimately took us to Medina square (souk) and was clearly forcing us to stores that he an alliance with. Ultimately we asked the tour guide to please let us walk freely so that we could enjoy the rest of our time in Marrakesh and departed from him. I would not recommend this tour through Maroc Excursions. You would problably have a better experience casually finding your way to the city landmarks and shopping at your leisure. If you truly want a tour guide, I’d advise saving money and going as part of a group instead of a private tour. Luckily Viator was able to facilitate a full refund from Maroc Excursions. However, when I travel, a good experience is preferred over getting a refund.
