Meet your private guide at Akshardham Metro station, and walk towards the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. The magnificent monument officially opened in 2005, and is situated on the banks of Yamuna in the eastern face of the city. It boasts a complex architectural style and consists of 234 ornately carved pillars, 9 domes and more than 20,000 statues of various Hindu Sages, saints and Acharyas (teachers). Explore the alluring beauty of this majestic monument as your private guide unfolds the legend and stories connected with the temple. Stroll through the intricately carved corridors and experience faith at its best. Let the culture sink in as you stop for light snack with your expert guide. - DRESS CODE
- The temple is a sacred house of God and a place of daily worship. To preserve its sanctity and spiritual ambience, a strict dress code operates within the complex.
- Upper Wear: Must cover the shoulders, chest, navel, and upper arms
- Lower Wear: Must be at least below knee-length
- Sarong: In case your dress does not comply with above requirement, a free sarong is provided for your visit (Refundable Deposit Rs. 100) Please return the sarong at the exit.
- During Sundays and holidays it is very crowded so you have to wait in queue to get entry inside the Temple

Our tour guide Sunil was extremely well knowledgeable and had great interpersonal skills. He helped us through security, reduced all wait times and helped us store our phones without having to wait for the cloakroom. His knowledge of the temple was amazing and guided us through the light show! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Communication was excellent from the start and our guide , Shiv , was waiting for us as advised and led us through into the Temple , it was very busy so were were very glad to have an experienced guide who knew where to go ,sorting out tickets and storing our phones, we enjoyed a tour around and inside the temple followed by the fountain show , I would recommend having a guide when you visit this temple to help you as its not easy to see where to go , where to leave things , what you can take in with you etc , Shiv was professional and friendly and made this visit very special , thank you

This was an awesome experience. Sunil (our guide) was a wealth of information and made the trip extra special. I have never experienced such great service on a tour before. I would recommend this tour to anyone and see if you can also request Sunhil, our guide.

This extraordinarily beautiful temple, built in recent years, defies description for its soaring architecture, its beautiful intricate stone-work and statuary ,its glittering detail, its amazing reflecting ponds - you stand transfixed, gazing up at the ethereal interior. We waited in line for an hour and a half to get through security - but we were persuaded to be patient by our excellent guide Mahi, a very kind and exceptionally well-informed guide. We give him the highest marks. You definitely shouldn't miss this experience!,
