We had a pleasant day with our tour guide Charles, he picked us up in a very clean comfortable vehicle. We headed over to Stonehenge, had a very yummy lunch at an English Pub, then headed to Windsor/Eaton for a few hours. Charles was such a great guide, we felt like we spent the day with a good friend. He was also very flexible with out time and even dropped us off at a different spot. I highly recommend this company!!

Christopher was our fantastic private guide! With his expert and passionate knowledge we had such a phenomenal day and the weather was beautiful for my family of 3. First stop was little known Woodhenge (I’d never heard of it before) and I’m so grateful he shared this important precursor to Stonehenge with us. I even got to experience the unexplained phenomenon of walking barefoot on the grass! (I won’t spoil the surprise, you just have to do it yourselves) Afterwards we headed to prehistoric Stonehenge just beyond the hill (or a nice walk over the fields for the adventurous) and all I can say is WOW! I could literally stay here all day to drink it in! The view of the stones are strikingly different from every.single.angle! Finally we made our way to Windsor Castle. Another BIG WOW! I could have taken all day here as well to explore every crevice they might let me poke my nose in! The perfect ending to the day was when Christopher recommended this lovely river side restaurant in the village for our evening meal, complete with Windsor Castle across the way, a perfect backdrop and end to the day. We even got to see the Kings Swans! All in all, we can’t say enough about this tour and especially Christopher, what started out as meeting someone new turned out to becoming lifelong friends. Can’t wait to come back to England for another London Country Tour

What a fun day we had to Stonehenge and Windsor with our driver/guide Steve. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in London at the agreed to time and Steve took us to Stonehenge and then Windsor. He provided commentary as we went along and great hints about where to grab a quick lunch in Windsor and the perfect pub for an after tour beer before we headed back to London. We planned the trip with owner, David Stubbs, who promptly answered emails and helped us efficiently plan our day. We would definitely recommend London Country Tours - specifically David and Steve and would use them again when we find ourselves in the area.
Our driver, Ash, was wonderful! Very accomodating. He upgraded us to a larger vehicle, knowing we had kids with us, which was great --- room to spread out and enjoy the ride. He was knowledgeable about the areas we were passing by and about the places we were visiting. He drove us safely and efficiently. Very happy with this driver experience!

Beware! We booked private guided tour with Dave the owner. Without prior notice, Dave sent another person (5-star) to meet us who told us he is NOT a guide. Wonderful driver - not a guide. Also their website indicates they do NOT subcontract- then why did driver bill us to his private company and not Dave’s company? Not sure what we paid for - however from correspondence it appears we paid for a driver/guide. I’m big on honesty and full disclosure!
Hi. Just hoping you had a great day. It's impossible for me to do every tour. I sent you a driver guide. Not a tour guide. We are driver guides. We do not go inside with you. I never booked myself in with you.? We have a number of very experienced self employed drivers. They do take the payment if it has not been paid in advance. Not quite sure why this was a problem. Would it made a difference if you paid in advance.? You paid for a 11 hour day with a very experienced driver guide who collected you and dropped you back. In a large luxurious vehicle. In comfort. Gave you lots of information. Arranged a pub lunch.got you to the correct places on time and organised your day for you. We are one of the best on prices on the Internet. Quite easily could have cost double with the same operator. I wish you could have spoke to me first.before you put a misleading BEWARW on the review. Don't quite understand. Be nice to know if you had a great dsy and if the driver guide was good. I checked your driver.he gets 5 star reviews. To take 2 stars off because he was not a tourvguide.which is clearly mentioned on the website and you paid him direct. Seems a little harsh. When there was no.problems.
Our recent private escorted tour to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle with London Country Tours can only be described as amazing.. The entire day was customized and adjusted to our needs, everything from making reservations for lunch to drop off and pickup at each venue entry point.. The service was second to none. If you're looking to tour London and beyond, look no further than London Country Tours! We used them two days in a row - for different tours. Why two days in a row? The company we had one of our tours booked through cancelled at the last minute. We immediately called London Country Tours and they quickly stepped up where the other company had failed! WOW! Talk about excellent customer service! Both Alam (on Wednesday) and Darius (on Thursday) provided exceptional customer service and far surpassed our expectations - from explaining information throughout the tour, recommending places to eat and offering to making reservations, providing side excursions that enhanced our tour, to being flexible with our schedule. So accommodating, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and professional! Truly, I can't say enough good things about these two. Don't look any further than this company. Book it and prepare for the best!
