One of the worst experiences I’ve ever booked. The driver Eunice wasn’t given the accurate pick up location and was over 30 minutes late. Then we had to stop for gas. Then we had to stop to pick up our guide. Our booking was to visit the Jardin Majorelle, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and then finish in the Medina. However, they started us in the Medina and essentially took us to different stores to go shopping. At first, we thought it was a nice way to learn about the textiles of Morocco, but we quickly realized that the shop owners were asking us for ridiculous prices and tips for showing us their products. We asked Abdullah, our guide, when we were going to visit the Jardin/tombs/palace. He was confused and had no idea he was supposed to take us to any of the sites. He acted like it was our fault and told us that we never told him the itinerary, which is ridiculous and unprofessional to expect us to provide him with the itinerary that was already set by the tour company. We asked if there was enough time to go see them, he assured us there was and proceeded to take us shopping and see cobra snakes in the square. He encouraged us to take pictures with the snakes and then the men with the snakes turned around and asked us for money. Abdullah and this man started to shake us down for money. I travel a great deal and am no stranger to scams and tourist traps. However, I have never experienced a paid/booked tour that tried to scam me. Especially through Viator, a site that I have used many times, but they were useless in terms of getting our money back. So I’ll be using GetYourGuide from now on instead. At this point it was too late to go see any of the sites. Our entire day was wasted. Eunice was the only one that tried to help us get a refund, but his boss refused. We spent thousands of dollars to travel and visit this city and this entire experience put a horrible taste in our mouth for the city of Marrakech. TLDR: DO NOT BOOK THIS SCAM. Waste of time and money.
