Set off for an unforgettable day through the iconic D-Day sites in Normandy: Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. In addition to these must-see places, the excursion offers exclusive flexibility: on site you will find several museums dedicated to the Second World War. Their visit is optional and not included in the price, but if you want to enrich your experience, just discuss it with your driver. ➡️ Depending on your preferences and the time available, he can adapt the organization of the day to include one of these museums (for example the Overlord Museum or Utah Beach), while guaranteeing your punctual and secure return. Your Driver and Guide (depending on the option chosen) will pick you up directly at the agreed location: Inn, Station or Cruise Terminal. He will welcome you with a name sign to facilitate the meeting. You will then take your seat in a modern, comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle for a memorable day in history.
After about 2 hours drive from Le Havre, you reach Utah Beach, the first beach liberated by American troops on June 6, 1944. You will discover the bunkers, the remains of the Atlantic Wall and, optionally, the museum that traces military operations. Your Guide will explain how General Roosevelt's troops managed to break through the German defenses with relatively limited losses. ➡️ A stage that perfectly introduces the day, showing the allied strategy and the importance of this beach.
After 40 minutes of travel, you arrive at Pointe du Hoc. This spectacular site, perched on 30-metre cliffs, still bears witness to the violence of the fighting. The bomb craters and crumbling bunkers recall the heroic assault of American rangers who scaled the cliff under enemy fire. ➡️ An impressive and emotional place, which illustrates the courage of the soldiers.
A short 15-minute drive takes you to Omaha Beach, nicknamed “the bloody Omaha”. This beach remains one of the most poignant places of the D-Day landings. Here, the American troops suffered the heaviest losses in confronting formidable German defenses. Walking on this beach means feeling history and understanding the Award of Freedom. Lunch break: you will have the opportunity to dine on site (sandwiches, quick snacks) or, if you prefer, enjoy a small typical restaurant on the road, selected for its authenticity and local cuisine. ➡️ A highlight of the day, full of history and conviviality.
Finally, after only 10 minutes drive, you reach the Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery, facing Omaha Beach. This memorial honours more than 9,000 American soldiers who fell in the Battle of Normandy. You will see the perfect alignments of white crosses, the memorial, the chapel and the breathtaking sea views. ➡️ A moving visit, conducive to reflection and reflection on the sacrifice of an entire generation.
At the end of the day, your driver will return you to your original Check-out location (Inn, Station, Cruise Terminal or agreed address), safely and according to schedule.

At the cruise terminal, head to the exit, where your driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it. In all cases, our coordination center will contact you to provide you with the driver's information and ensure that your day runs smoothly.

Absolutely brilliant. Our tour guide Mathilde was a wealth of knowledge and fascinating local insights. Our driver Modjy was pleasant, courtious and very professional. Our group of seven (ages 4 to 67) all came away eager to do individual research in order to gain a deeper understanding of the events that Mathilde had introduced us to. We spent 10 hours with Mathilde and Modjy and every minute was fascinating and a joy. Highly recomended, a most rewarding day.

An excellent driver, Adel, with a great tour guide, Sunny. Picked the 6 of us up at the cruise ship for a drive to Normandy. Sunny was very good at giving g us information about the country side we were passing through, the areas we were to visit and WWII . Did not rush us and gave us options. Incredible day with private tour guide who helped us understand all the intricacies and details of the D-Day planning, landings, and battles. Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Pont Du Hoc, bunkers, craters, hedgerows, and more. The Memorial was particularly special as we explored the chapel, cross headstones, and the wall of names of soldiers who have not yet been found. Our guide helped me contact the Visitor Center to arrange a remembrance of my grandfather's best friend who survived D-Day but died a month later. (I had not known to arrange it prior to the trip). We sanded his stone with sand from Omaha Beach (to help his name stand out in pictures) and placed an American and French flag at his grave. Such an amazing experience with my daughter! And the hospitality was incredible- we even stopped for omelettes and gallettes. We also added a round-trip transfer to and from our cruise port for added convenience and were so glad we did. Great trip!
