The Ourika Valley is a narrow valley located in the central part of Morocco. The valley is a UNESCO world heritage site and has been an important place of importance for local people. The Ourika Valley, also known as the Ourika Gorge, has been called the most fabulous place of this valley, enjoy the calm and the attraction of this area, also be refreshed after a tough day. A very nice excursion that I recommend without hesitation! This day in the Ourika Valley is a real timeless break, far from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The landscapes of the High Atlas are beautiful and offer a total change of scenery. We particularly enjoyed the discovery of the village of Setti Fatma, with its walk to the waterfalls, accessible and refreshing. The Berber market and a visit to a traditional house give a better understanding of the local way of life, which makes the experience even more authentic. The timing of lunch, with a tagine on the waterfront, was just perfect. Visiting the Anima Garden is also a real favorite: a soothing, original and very inspiring place, which mixes nature and art with a lot of poetry. Many thanks to our driver Hamid, very professional, punctual and attentive throughout the day. He contributed greatly to making this excursion pleasant and fluid. A complete, rewarding and perfectly organized experience! 🌿

Great day trip with beautiful views! Our driver Hasan was on time at the meeting point, relaxed drive, with some stops to take photos and/or shop stop and visit a Berber village, very attentive about toilet breaks :), both driver and guide have always responded to our wishes, we felt very comfortable and safe, way to the falls very nice, great nature but you should be good on foot, On the way back we had lunch right by the river. For the tour you should start early in the morning, as there are many tourists there from noon.

We picked this private tour purely because most group options don't include both Ourika Valley and Anima Garden, but in hindsight we're so glad we chose this trip as it organised so well. Our lovely driver Hamid was so patient and let us decide how much time we wanted to spend at each stop while always making sure we knew where he'd be (a huge departure from group trips if you've ever been on one). The car itself was very comfortable compared to a cramped and hot minivan! Being on a private tour also helped us feel more at ease on the waterfall trek, because our Ourika guide could easily spot if we were struggling and offer immediate help. For context, we're both fit and fast walkers who grew up in a mountainous place, but we are used to less rocky terrain and found the walk up to the waterfalls very difficult with the loose and slippery rocks. However, we felt that it was worth it for the experience as both the walk and the riverside lunch were very scenic. While Anima Garden is 45 minutes outside of the city, we found it far more engaging and serene than Jardin Majorelle. Also, the way that the trip is structured means that we visited Anima during off-peak hours when we had the whole place to ourselves (and could rest our post-hike jelly legs at any hammock, bench, or chair in sight).
