The review: My daughter and I spent an amazing day in Salzburg with our kind driver, George. He took us around some of the most iconic locations from The Sound of Music, and then gave us a few hours to explore the Old Town on our own, which is a pedestrian-only area. At the end of the tour, George surprised us with a truly unique spot we hadn’t even known about — Hangar-7 — where historic Red Bull racing cars are on display. The journey was long and a bit tiring, but absolutely worth it. We’re staying overnight in Salzburg, because tomorrow we’re continuing on to Munich with George! Thank you to the company!
We are very glad for your wonderful experience with us! We wish you a pleasant stay in Europe!
Our driver was very knowledgeable and nice! He explained us a lot about the history of the place, he was very helpful and gave us extra time during the day! We will be definitely back!
This was the first time a tour operator did not reach out to me to confirm the trip and set a time to meet. We were expecting this as it was a private tour. After no response from the operator through Viator (and several hours for Viator to respond at all via WhatsApp) I was able to contact the operator via WhatsApp. The initial interaction via text wasn't super encouraging but the day of the tour Lazar appeared a few minutes early with a smile on his face, which was refreshing. We rode in his personal Audi suv, which was comfortable. We wish we had more time in Salzburg as the town in our opinion far surpasses Vienna but that leaves more for a return visit. Lazar was lovely and timely however he frequently glanced and even looked at his phone - to check his social media. At one point we had a near collision on the highway while going fast bc the other driver nearly involved was doing the same. My astute husband got his attention and Lazar was able to avoid conflict. My daughter and I were sleeping in the back. This was quite alarming. Lazar also had a continuous cough that we hope none of us contracted. Had lazar not been checking his phone continuously and had been healthy we would give this day 5 stars.
We are sorry for the not so good part of your experience, we try to keep everything in line. We already spoke with Lazar regarding this situation. He told us that he was driving very carefully. We hope you had a good time after all. Best regards
