This tour will start at 9 am from your hotel. We will drive to the Dahshur Pyramids which are the first true pyramids known chiefly for Senefru's Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, which are among the oldest, largest, and best preserved in Egypt that date back to 2613-2589 BC. The Red Pyramid is believed to be the resting place of King Sneferu.
11am - After we visit the Dahshur Pyramids, we will drive 10 minutes to the Egyptian farm land. We will move from the ancient life to the natural world and simple life to see how the Egyptian people lived and planted their crops from the ancient time up to the present days in the same style of farming and irrigation system. You will see the Egyptian women cooking in ancient ovens. You will drink our Egyptian tea. You will walk in the farm between the crops and ride the ancient “Egyptian Cadillac” (a donkey or Tuk Tuk). You will enjoy the most delicious lunch. After the meal you will have time to explore and take some amazing photos. Around 3pm we will than transport you back to your hotel and provide you with refreshing sugarcane juice.

We really wanted to see the Bent Pyramid, and this tour gave us that—as well as a lot of the known history of the Dashur pyramids and a wonderful trip to Dashur Today farm. We just expected lunch, but we had tea in the treetops, “helped” make bread, and saw firsthand the farming techniques and handcrafts of the area. Mohammed, our guide, and Omar, our driver, were both great.

It was an amazing experience! It was very important to see the Bent Pyramid for me. It is such a crucial part of the development of Egyptian pyramid building. It did not disappoint. However, the highlight was the meal on the private farm. What an experience to sit and eat traditional Egyptian food made the way ancient Egyptians would have made it with a family that truly knows hospitality!
