Its design features a unique blend of architectural styles – Dutch, Baroque, and Georgian – which makes it stand out even among other historic buildings in Cape Town. The walls are made of clay, sand, and stone, and you can see remnants of the original foundation in the inner courtyard.

Absolutely a 5 star experience with Nwabisa. She went above and beyond to make our day in Cape Town exceptional! She was very informative. She was flexible and easy going with what we wanted to do. When we mentioned we were hungry she took us to a wonderful recommendation for lunch! She was delightful and experienced! She listened to what we like (history) and took us to places that fit us. Do not hesitate to work with this company. They are easily communicated with and helpful and accommodating to make our day memorable!!! The car was clean, comfortable and luxury level! Exceptional service!
Exceptional day tour with private car and driver from Wanderer. Pickup at pier and drop off at airport as requested. Visited sites that we requested plus more.
Me and my mom did the half day tour of Cape Town and our guide Rowen was extremely attentive! He accompanied us at all times, told us everything about the history of the country and the city and then took beautiful photos!
Very disappointed with our experience with Wanderer After changing contact for the organization of our 4 days in Captoww we had the unpleasant surprise upon arrival in Captoww to find ourselves without hotel reservation when we thought that the nights of Hotels were included in the total price of the service (42000 ZAR) as indicated in their advertising brochure . But not at all... and it remains very ambiguous! The agency finally finds us a first night at 3000 ZAR/couple and the other two nights at 2100 ZAR. So extra cost of 7200 ZAR putting the overall service at 49200 ZAR!! We do not question the competence and friendliness of the various guides who accompanied us but feel that the overall amount of the service is overpriced, knowing that the agency did not want to acknowledge what we consider an error on its part. No commercial action to mitigate this misunderstanding therefore in conclusion: We advise against this agency
Deceptive I think not - 4 years of reviews with multiple tours going out daily and you will not find one like this anywhere. When you first made contact you advised us as to which hotel you were staying at so I don’t see how you concluded that this was included in the price we quoted. The only communication with hotels was from your side and prior to you contacting us. Your total cost of R42640 for 4 guests for 2 x Airport transfers and arrival day chauffeur service plus 3 full day tours with private driver and certified french speaking tour guide in a Mercedes V Class including Kirstenbosch Gardens, Table Mountain Cableway tickets, seal island boat trip, cape point entry, boulders entry, kayaking with penguins, cape point funicular, 3 wine tastings and lunch at a wine estate with a glass of wine and a sunset cruise is a price nobody in Cape Town will beat so I am not sure how you find this exorbitant. I personally came out immediately when I heard of the hotel issue on your arrival evening, our team assisted you in finding a place on your arrival night and for the duration of your stay on top doing your dinner transfers at no additional cost to put a bit of extra light on your visit so I really don’t see what more they could have done. We thank you for choosing to use our services and I am terribly sorry that we couldn’t turn that lemon into lemonade but I wish you all the best on your future travels.
We have used private guides in many countries. We did 6 days in Capetown and took multiple adventures. Ronald, our guide is incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and adapts quickly if need be. He is the consumate professional. Che recommended a perfect itinerary with Aziza arranging the details and Ronald our guide sharing his knowledge. Just book with this Team, you'll appreciate the experience.
Hi Kerry, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review. We really glad to hear that you had a great time and hope to hear from you again sometime.
We are very grateful for the time we spent with Ronald in Cape Town, and we enjoyed our city tour with him a lot. The information shared was very insightful and interesting for us to better understand the culture and rich history of South Africa. We had a lot of pleasant conversations and appreciated a lot his positive vibes and his effort in making our itinerary very personal and memorable.
Hi Ronald, thank you for choosing to use our services and also the time to share your experience with us here. It was a pleasure to be of service.
We visited most of the Cape Town city Our guide Darlington was very polite, excellent driver and I think that he loves his job The only problem was the communication with the Travel Office They didn’t answer my last mails and I didn’t knew the time of departure from our hotel The last night I phoned them and after quite a lot of efforts everything was solved
Wanderer travel was superb! Nothing was too much trouble. We had a fantastic bespoke tour, with kind and thoughtful staff. The cars (Mercedes) were spacious and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this tour company. Thank you Wanderer travel for a fantastic trip!
Great tour. Very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recomend. They had water for us and took us to the local sites to go shopping and for amazing coffee. You get a true experience of Cape Town.
We were so well looked after during our trip to Cape Town in December. We only had a short few days in Cape Town and with the help of Wanderers , we managed to squeeze in seeing everything! Faizel brought us on the Cape Pennisula tour , he was so well informed and we enjoyed every moment! We then did a short city tour , it was perfect! We were provided with the most fantastic service and information! We couldn’t recommend this company anymore and will be recommending to any of our friends coming to Cape Town!
