A thoroughly enjoyable day out with Mohammed. A great driver on the winding mountain roads. Car was extremely comfortable. Stopped at a traditional Berber house and some craft co-ops on the way there (no pressure to buy), met with the local guide who took us to visit the waterfalls, lunch next to the river and then back to the city. All done at your own pace and things added in, taken out as you wish, all for a reasonable price for a private tour. Would recommend.
We had a fabulous trip to the Atlas Mountains and waterfall, taking in visits to an authentic Berber household and argon oil cooperative. Our driver, Mohammed, looked after us very well and couldn’t do enough for us. Abdulah was our guide to the waterfall and was brilliant. We felt very safe in his hands. We would highly recommend this trip. Thank you Mohammed!
Our guide Muhammed was charming, polite and very knowledgeable about the area. He picked us up and returned us to our hotel and overall made the day very pleasant. The visit to the Berber house was first on the itinerary. This was a fascinating insight into how the Berbers live and a tour of the house followed by sitting down to a partake in a freshly bread pot of morrocan tea. Our knowledgeable guide explained how many families lived in the house and explained their methods of cooking. We also visited a carpet making cooperative and an Argan oil cooperative on the way to the village where we would commence the trek to the waterfall. On arrival we met another guide who would take us up the waterfall. The trek to the waterfall was fairly challenging but great fun and the scenery was amazing. Scrambling over rocks and wooden bridges crossing streams added to the challenge and without a guide I'm not sure we would have made it to the top without the assistance of out guide as some of our party were less able to climb unaided. Arriving at the waterfall we sat and drank freshly squeezed orange juice and rested in the warm sunshine, before descending again to the village. After we got back down we had a late lunch sitting next to the river and enjoying the sunshine. Finally we returned to Marrakech after a full day out. Very good day out. Stunning views of the Atlas mountains and surrounding countryside. A real respite from the busy whirl of the city.
Excellent tour with Muhammad - from Marrakech, a day in the Atlas Mountains, with various stops along the way, including a guided hike up a steep rocky path to a waterfall. Amidst the chaos of the roads, it was great to be in a comfortable vehicle with such a good driver, who was charming, patient and helpful. Thank you so very much.
Rachid was an excellent driver, knowledgeable about and the berber culture and Ourika Valley and super friendly. I would strongly recommend.
The driver was really polite and professional. Eccellent guide and super nice with has. He bring water he ask if everything was ok all time! I recommend him, and also the tour that was really interesting
This is an excellent day out and you can't ask for a better guide than Muhammad. Pick up from our hotel was on time and with a very nice 7 seater vehicle The first stop was at a Berber household where we looked at traditional living and had some freshly made mint tea. The next stop was at a Argon manufacturer Coroporate where Ibrahim explained everything about Argon oil from how it is made to the different products Next stop was the mountian where our next guide Abdul, took us to see the waterfall which was breathtaking An excellent day out which I fully recommend
We had a great time with the driver who drove us to the Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains. He is warm and very courteous. It is of unparalleled availability. He took us to very welcoming families.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feed-back. We really appreciate your review, we look-forward to see you again in Marrakech.
