Was a great tour! Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Great history in Alexandria. 5/5 I recommend the tour.
Talk about getting a lot for your money! Our guide Shaimaa was amazing and super knowledgeable. Ahmed, our driver, was super patient, especially considering we had a 5 hour round trip to and from our hotel. Would definitely recommend! 🙌

The tour of Alexandria was truly a wonderful experience. We visited the Catacombs, Roman Theatre, St. Mark’s Church, the Citadel, and the Library, and each place was presented in a very engaging way. What really made the difference was the guide Shaimaa.. She had a very warm and natural storytelling style, turning every historical fact into an interesting story rather than a typical explanation. It was easy to listen, never overwhelming, and always engaging. Shaimaa created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, giving us time to enjoy each place without feeling rushed. You could really feel the passion and care in the way everything was explained. Our expectations were definitely exceeded – it was not only informative, but also very relaxing and enjoyable. Also, the transfer from Cairo was very well organized, smooth and comfortable, which made the whole experience even more stress‑free. Highly recommended 😊

For everything we saw in Alexandria, the day trip was worth it. We had a wonderful guide in Shaimaa. The entire tour is completely overpriced, like so much in the tourist sector in Egypt, and definitely not 'exclusive and VIP.' From the car with no drinking water to the request to pay €20 immediately the night before so that the pickup can take place in the outskirts. This could have been calculated right at the time of booking. So: Guide excellent, sights excellent, organizer unprofessional and greedy.
Narmer tours team

Be prepared for a decent drive to and from Cairo - a couple of hours each way, but there is plenty to see on the way. Soak it in! Our guide was very knowledgeable and she did a wonderful job of explaining the history of the establishment and timeline of Alexandria. The Catacombs was an unexpected highlight. Completely different to the catacombs in Paris. The current Library of Alexandria is pretty cool to finish at too.
Shaimaa was an excellent tour guide and Ahmed was an excellent driver. I was apprehensive at first due to the limited reviews on Airbnb, however, both Ahmed and Shaimaa were quick to put my mind at ease. Furthermore, Shaimaa disclosed she had studied at the University of Alexandria, and this is accurately reflected by her vast knowledge on what was included in our tour. If you want to visit Alexandria, please please PLEASE consider.
Honestly, speaking, it was an average tour. Our Tour Guide was very knowledgeable, however; I just didn’t feel like it was an over the top tour. The driver who picked us up in Cairo was very nice, but we had a language barrier. We didn’t meet with our Guide until we reached Alexandria. Both of them were very nice. I’ve been on a lot of tours all around the world, and I’d have to say I don’t know if I would spend this money on this tour again. We did hit the highlights of history in Alexandria. I don’t really think there would’ve been much more to see.
