Along with your licensed family-friendly guide, discover the fascinating myths hidden beneath the sacred rock. Learn about the Propylaea, the marble gate of the Acropolis, and stand in awe before the Temple of Nike, the goddess of victory. Your family-friendly guide will make sure to keep your kids on their toes, discussing with them the stories of the Parthenon, the emblematic temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. Marvel at Erechtheion temple, the place where the battle between Athena and Poseidon over the naming of the city took place, and look at the majestic sculptures of the maiden that support the Erechtheion's porch, called Caryatids. Observe the sacred olive tree that serves as a symbol of power that was allegedly put there by goddess Athena herself on the top of the hill, and listen to your guide reveal the stories behind the first mythical king of Athens!

Our guide Maria was fantastic. She kept the kids (9 and 7) engaged with questions and stories. And the adults learned a lot too!
Maria is a wonderful guide. We’re a family of 5 visiting from New York, kids ages 9-14. There are other sites we visited with no guide, but for the acropolis we thought it’d be more enjoyable to have a guide. Maria was very sweet with our children! She brought the stories and history to life. She pointed out so much that we would’ve never known. Our kids studied Ancient Greece and the myths in school so they enjoyed already having a good understanding to start from; and Maria adjusted to their knowledge to tell us even more information. She paced the walk and the stories perfectly. Our entire family enjoyed it. Be sure to buy your own acropolis entrance tickets separately for the correct time slot. And be sure to double check your meeting spot location as well as your IDs. You may need your passports to prove the kids’ ages because acropolis tickets are $0 for kids under 18.

We had a wonderful tour with Christina. She was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged us all to ask questions. We were a group of 6, ranging in ages 10 to 70. Everyone enjoyed the tour and learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this tour if you plan to go to the Acropolis.

We loved this tour geared towards Families. Maria ensured our kids were engaged during the tour, ages 6 and 10. We enjoyed all the tidbits and stories she shared with us. I would highly recommend this tour if you have kids.

We had a fantastic tour of the Acropolis with Georgia! She kept our family (especially 2 active boys) engaged the whole time - she shared interesting facts & Greek mythology. Having a private guide was priceless - we were able to move fluidly throughout the site to find quiet spots for discussion. My 10-year old son said this tour was his favorite part of our time in Greece. Highly recommend this tour for families!

Our guide, Jason, was absolutely outstanding! Our family of four (2 kids) had our tour of the Acropolis, and Jason was friendly, on time, answered all of our questions, and was engaging and interactive with the children. We all learned so much during our tour, and Jason did a fantastic job of giving us information and helping us envision the Acropolis as it was.
