We had the absolute best time

Omg if you want real Moroccan food you HAVE to do this!! We had the absolute best time. Cooking with a local mom was so special, she was incredibly sweet and didn't mind us taking a million videos lol. We made the bread from scratch (so satisfying when it puffs up), did the whole mint tea pouring thing, and made a beef tagine that was literally melting in our mouths. It literally just felt like we were invited over for a family lunch. 10/10 recommend!!

don’t even bother looking at other cooking classes

don’t even bother looking at other cooking classes, this is the one. It’s exactly what it says on the tin—cooking with a local mom in her actual home. Super chilled, totally hands-on, and zero touristy gimmicks. We made fresh bread, some incredible side salads, and a chicken tagine that put most of the restaurants we’ve been to here to shame. The host is a total gem. Best afternoon we’ve spent in Marrakech by far.

Amazing food and even better hospitality

Make sure you don’t eat breakfast before you go because you will leave absolutely stuffed! Wow. The hospitality was next level. Our host was incredibly warm and patient with us. Learning how to make the traditional bread and the taktouka salad was so cool, and the tagine we made was delicious. But honestly, just sitting down at the table, eating together, and chatting was the best part. It felt so genuine. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Felt like family.

What a lovely afternoon we’ve had here. The hospitality was so wonderful, it’s hard to describe. We learned how to properly pour mint tea (much harder than it looks to get the foam right!), made some amazing fresh salads and slow-cooked a beef tagine that was so tender. But, honestly, the best part was just talking and laughing and learning about everyday life and family traditions. It was more than a recipe class. Big thanks to our host for opening her home to us!

Best tagine in Marrakech (because we made it!)

How cool an experience. It was like being invited to someone’s house for lunch. Our host was amazing and taught us how to make authentic Moroccan bread from scratch and the best smoky eggplant salad (zaalouk). The whole place smelled amazing the whole time. It’s super chill, hands on and the food at the end was massive and delicious. Do this for sure if you want to get away from the typical restaurant scene!

Highlight of our trip, seriously do this

Honestly, if you’re in Marrakech just book this and thank me later. We wanted something authentic not a tourist trap cooking school and this was it. Cooking with a local mom in her home was simply fantastic. She was so sweet and patient with us (especially when we were trying to knead the bread, haha!) The mint tea was incredible and the chicken tagine we made was literally the best meal we’ve had since we got to Morocco! And it was so nice and normal to sit down together to eat at the end, it felt like being at a relative's home. Would definitely recommend.

An Absolute Highlight of Our Trip to Marrakech!

Our host (a wonderful local mom) made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We began with the famous mint tea ritual and how to pour it from a height and then got our hands dirty making traditional Moroccan bread from scratch. It was amazing to see it bake and smell that fresh smell. For the main, we made chicken tagine and a variety of salads, including the smoky zaalouk an absolute standout. Our host shared family secrets and tips that you just don’t get from a cookbook. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WORTH EVERY PENNY

Excellent, delicious and fun!

Wonderful cooking experience! It was such a privilege to be welcomed into a private home and enjoy traditional food. The market visit was a great experience too, collecting and buying our own vegetable for the cooking lessons. The pick up and drop off was valuable too. Thank you. Highly recommended!

Our day involved going to the market to buy ingredients and back to house to make chicken tangeine, salads and bread. High quality ingredients, chicken so fresh. Kitchen was spotless.
