Start your culinary adventure in the vibrant Monastiraki neighborhood. Here, you'll have the chance to taste a souvlaki of your choice, a quintessential Greek street food. Choose from a variety of meats or vegetarian options, all wrapped in a warm pita with delicious toppings.
After enjoying your souvlaki, take a short walk to Syntagma Square where you'll indulge in a wine-tasting session. Savor four different Greek wine varieties, each paired with a selection of fine cheeses. This experience will give you a taste of Greece's rich wine culture.
Next, head to the historic Plaka district. Wander through its charming streets and stop for an olive oil tasting session. Our Athens Walking Wine and Food Tour was one of the highlights of our visit. As a private tour for just Robbie and Drew, it felt incredibly personal and relaxed. We visited several upmarket venues, enjoyed a generous variety of delicious food, and never felt rushed. Overall it was a great experience. I will note that the only wine is at the tasting. Personally, my wife and I felt that the overall experience wasn't "premium" or worth the price point, but the food and wine we did get were good and enjoyable. It is a LOT of walking, so please be aware of that, but our guide was so sweet and nice and we enjoyed our time. There is a lot of time in between tastings and a lot of talking from the guides. More wine and less time in between stops might make this better. It felt as though they were trying to waste time to make the experience take the allotted amount of time.

The guide was very nice but just not at the level for this to be marketed as a ‘foodie’ tour. The food tasting offered were good but nothing special. I was hoping for a more unique experience rather than the more tourist spots we were taken to. I would suggest focusing more on unique traditional tavernas and places were locals go rather than the popular tourists spots we were taken to that I could have found myself.
