Explore Prague through the life and times of the city’s most famous author on a 2.5-hour Franz Kafka tour.
The author of “Metamorphosis,” “The Trial” and “The Castle,” Kafka spent much of his life and wrote many of his literary works in Josefov, Pragueʼs former Jewish Ghetto.
Follow your guide and pass by some of the apartments where the Kafka family lived. Discover where Franz Kafka went to school and university. Walk near the house where he met his fiancee, Felice Bauer. Pass by some of the salons and synagogues that inspired his literary contemplations. The guide was very nice and enthusiastic in her explanation. She showed us the residences that Kafka lived in his life and his upbringing. But when asked about the contribution of Kafka to literature, she couldn’t answer. I thought if she had done a little research it could help us understand Kavka’s importance a little better.

One of the best city tours I have ever done. The guide (Argel) was able to depict Prague as it was in Kafka’s times. The focus is not so much on Kafka’s books but on Kafka’s life so that this tour is suitable for anyone who has an interest on history and culture on a broader sense.

Knowledgable guide. It’s a tour through the city with places of importance to Kafka. I’d say 50% about Kafka and 50% about the Jewish quarters and city (which we had unfortunately already covered in an earlier walk). Still a good one for Kafka fans

Learned a great deal about him, his life, his family, where he was born,etc. Our guide Argel was very knowledgeable and passionate about Kafka and his life and he did not shy away from sharing this knowledge with us.
A wonderful tour for those interested in Franz Kafka. It was so interesting to see where he lived, hear about his life, and see the statue and memorials. Sadly, I didn't write down my guide's name, but he was wonderful.
