Pontcysyllte Aqueduct Canoe Tours in Llangollen

Description
We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a breathtaking sight, but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side. After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Our endpoint is the Sun Trevor pub which is a great location for some good quality grub and a cold drink.

Joe, what a star ⭐. A great experience all round. Joe explained everything well, even took the time to work with everyone individually aswell. Thoroughly enjoyed, have already recommended.
We had the best morning with Harry and BMA! He was so patient with everyone and had a great sense of humor. The view over the aqueduct and the experience of going over it was fantastic, but the journey there and back is every bit as enjoyable. Even though the canal is pretty narrow in spots and there are plenty of boats and other canoes going up and down, it never felt scary or intimidating. Absolutely recommend for a fun family memory!
Brilliant day out. Lots of fun. Well organised. Jason was very helpful and informative. Will be back for more adventures. Highly recommend.
This was such a wonderful, relaxing experience for a sunny evening in June. Joe, our instructor and host, quickly learned all our names which was a really nice touch. His instruction was clear and patient so, for anyone who had never canoed before, any sense of nervousness was removed. I felt a real sense of achievement crossing the aqueduct, especially as heights are 'not my thing' but the height of the wall on the aqueduct gave a real sense of safety. The view was amazing. I enjoyed the historical stories too. I highly recommend the Bearded Men to anyone contemplating this activity.
A really great experience. We were looked after by Jack who helped me in and out of the canoe as I was wary of having a disaster and falling in ! We all paddled down the canal and followed his safety instructions when big canal boats came by. The section of the actual viaduct was exciting with people walking along the bank I think rather envious of us all canoeing. On the way back we all got out and put the canoes on the bank and Jack took us down the path to see the Aqueduct construction and hear about its history.
Really enjoyed this activity, stunning views and right length of time. Our guide (Sol) was great. He gave clear instructions, made sure everyone was able to keep up. Would def recommend
This experience was booked as a treat by my son. I wasn't too sure about it as I had my hip replacement 6 months ago!! However, I enjoyed it very much and would definitely do it again! Fun day out! Both Jason and Mike were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We always felt safe and in control !
Was a great event, Joe the host was fantastic, everything was explained well, guidance was clear and had a lot of fun. Would highly recommend this experience.
Jack and Bella who led the tour were very friendly and knowledgable. Nice views when going over the aqueduct. If you fancy trying a different activity this is definitely one worth doing.
Best present ever! The activity was great fun, interesting, stunning scenery and just the right length. Joe made it entertaining and safe and engaged everyone. Some good recommendations for local places to find food afterwards, too.
