We took a 3-hour tour of Pompeii last week with Alessandra, and it was outstanding. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also had a remarkable ability to explain the archaeology and bring to life the story of how the city was buried and preserved. Her engaging storytelling made the history fascinating and easy to follow. Although the tour lasted three hours, it felt like it was over in minutes. An excellent all-round experience that we would highly recommend.
On May 5, 2026, we booked a 3-hour tour with the excellent and passionately conducted guide Pietro, via Get Your Guide. Not only did he speak German exceptionally well, but his archaeological training and emotional explanations contributed greatly to making the time of this tour fly by. What turned out to be fortunate was the timing of the tour starting at 2:30 PM, as there were significantly fewer visitors in the ruins of Pompeii at that time. Thank you very much to Pietro.
Our guide, Nicoletta, conducted a very interesting and fun tour. Pompeii is an amazing place and she helped us understand the way it operated in much more detail. Thank you Nicoletta for a great experience.
Our guide Céline was excellent and very knowledgeable. Her archaeological experience of working at Pompeii excavations and abroad was invaluable in enabling her to passionately describe these fantastic ruins. A very worthwhile tour.
Alessandra was amazing. Smart and informative and the pace was gentle. She was a wonderful guide! I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants Pompeii with a bit more!
Alexandra is a truly exceptional guide. Her command of English is flawless, but what really sets her apart is her gift for storytelling; she has a unique ability to captivate the entire group and bring history to life. Her deep passion for archaeology shines through in every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience—well done!
An unforgettable experience an applause and thanks to NS prehistoric archaeologist Anna that I recommend to the next visitors prepared. Grazieeee will definitely be back. Armando
My tour guide was Antonella, she was great. I love that we had earpieces, as it is quite hectic once inside Pompeii. I did not realize how huge it would be! But Antonella guided us through 2 sections and hit the highlights. I learned so much about the history. Afterwards I wander around for another few hours to soak it all in. Definitely eat before you start the tour & bring water - there is only 1 restaurant that we arrived at by the end of the tour.
My wife Carmela and I had a great visit. Our tour guide Mario Celentano did a great job explaining the history and fun facts about Pompei. His English was great and was very informative.
We did the tour led by Camillo Sorrentino on 14/08. the tour he led was beautiful and included the highlights of the whole city, seasoned with a lot of extremely interesting information on constructions, uses of the Pompeian era and the history of excavations. All in a light and nice way, really a great guide / popularizer. Highly recommended!!!
