Tour schedule: 9:00 – pick up from any address within Baku 11:00 – be at Azgranata vineyards at Shamakhi, Adnali. 12:00 – be at Azgranata wine plant, walk in factory and have wine tastings, including Pomegranate wine with light snacks 14:00 – lunch 15:00 – leave to Baku 17:00 – be in Baku

What a fantastic day! It started with a great ride in a clean, comfortable van out of the city with excellent conversation and information from Nasimi. We first stopped by the vineyard, where not only did we walk through the vineyards and try the different grapes, but we also watched harvest picking and met some of the locals working. From there, we went to the plant, where we were able to try all the wines and spirits, even at different stages of fermentation. The wines were delicious, with many unexpected varieties (not just pomegranate), and the spirits were also super tasty. All of this, followed by a wonderful lunch at an overlook before a much-need nap on the way home :) I have travelled quite a bit and have done many wine tours, and this was honestly one of my favorites. The hospitality can't be beat, and there really is so much flexibility to make the tour what you want. We will absolutely arrange more trips of other vineyards in the near future. FYI for COVID - masks were worn and hand sanitizer was always available, as well as bathrooms at each stop to wash your hands.
