Itinerary
Meet your guide at the meeting point, the food adventure begins! We always choose the best dishes, aiming to introduce you to our traditions, suggest the best restaurants and make you live the best culinary experience ever.
Our food tour begins along the scenic Lungarno, where we’ll stop at one of the city’s oldest wine bars to enjoy famous Tuscan cured meats paired with a glass of fine local red wine, soaking in the views of the Arno as the perfect start to our culinary journey.
Next, we’ll make a stop near Palazzo Agostini, where you’ll have the chance to taste the not-to-be-missed Pici. This traditional Tuscan pasta is made by hand-rolling thick, rustic strands of dough, resembling a heartier version of spaghetti. Often served with hearty sauces, like meat ragu or a simple mix of olive oil, garlic, and cheese, its chewy texture and ability to absorb rich flavors make it a true staple of Tuscan cuisine.
Pisa is also renowned for its cecina, a delicious savory flatbread. In the lively Ponte di Mezzo area, you’ll have the chance to try this traditional treat at a local pizzeria. Made from a simple yet flavorful batter of chickpea flour, water, salt, and olive oil and baked to golden perfection, it’s a true taste of Pisa’s culinary tradition.
What better way to wrap up the tour than with a sweet treat? Whether it’s artisan gelato or a traditional local cake, you’ll end the experience on a delicious note, a perfect farewell to your time in Pisa.

Absolutely brilliant! A great way to start the holiday in Pisa! No Google Maps needed - the tour guide ( Alessadra) was fantastic! Like having a friend to show us around and chat with while we ate fab food and met and dined in lovely restaurants that only locals would know about. Great walks / explanation of history of Pisa too. Great value for money. Highly recommend.
Sasha was simply amazing! Every stop on our tour was thoughtfully planned, and from the moment she arrived, she was prompt, professional, and incredibly engaging. From the start it felt like she was part of our family rather than someone we had just met. At each location, the owners clearly adored her. They took the time to share the stories behind their venues and food, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Sasha's passion for what she does shines through in every aspect of the experience, and it made all the difference. This was, without question, my favorite excursion of our trip. Sasha reminded us that there are still genuinely kind people in the world. She even went above and beyond by recommending restaurants for our next stop in Rome, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food at every stop was outstanding. One thing I learned on this tour is not to ask what I'm eating until afterward—I wanted to experience each dish without any preconceived notions or bias. It made the experience even more enjoyable, and I discovered flavors I may have otherwise overlooked. If you're considering booking a tour with Sasha, don't hesitate. You'll leave with wonderful memories, amazing food experiences, and the feeling that you've spent the day with a friend.
This was another great Viator tour. Our guide knew a lot about local food and wine. The food was very plentiful. 1st a charcuterie board with drinks. The choices of meats was enjoyable, then 2nd was a great restaurant where we had our choice of several pastas (in a really neat cavelike restaurant), 3rd we were treated to the street food Celina. ( crispy and good), finally 4th was wonderful gelato. The guide had a great personality, and we had lots of laughs. I highly recommend this tour.
Sacha was fantastic, very knowledgeable and fun to be with, We shared lots of stories and kelt like we had made a new best friend.
Very enjoyable. Good food, wine and knowledgeable host. History was also included and we did a quick side trip to buy something that I had been looking for. So glad we decided to make this part of our vacation. Our host was amazing!
One of the best food-tours we did so far. We had a lovely guide (Alessandra) and she explained everything so nicely. The food and places we visited were also amazing. Kudos! From Belgium
Annalisa gave us a wonderful walk through various parts of Pisa, with some interesting discussion of culture and history. We stopped at an osteria for an amazing spread of local meats, cheeses and breads. It was delicious. Next, we went to a beautiful place for some amazing pasta, and then another for some street food. Last but not least, we went to a Gelateria for an outstanding dolce. We were so impressed with everything (and our stomachs were very full). We enjoyed it very much…and Annalisa gave us a wonderful recommendation for pizza 🍕. We LOVED it. Thank you so much Annalisa!
For us, this tour was a real highlight. Since no other guests participated that day, we were able to enjoy the tour in a very personal atmosphere. Our guide Alessandra was exceptionally warm and friendly. She spoke very good English, answered all questions in detail, and shared many interesting background information with us. The food was plentiful and very delicious. Especially the antipasti and the pasta tasted excellent to us. At the same time, we were able to discover some beautiful and lesser-known corners of the old town of Pisa that we probably would not have found on our own. Overall, the tour was a wonderful enhancement to our Tuscany vacation, which we are happy to recommend. ****** This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. As there were no other guests that day, we enjoyed a very personal experience. Our guide Alessandra was warm and friendly. Her English was excellent, and she shared many interesting facts and additional information with us throughout the tour. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. Overall, the tour was a wonderful addition to our Tuscany holiday, and we would happily recommend it to others.
Sasha was a great guide. You are pretty much in a small area with walking and hearing about Pisa and it's food. Come hungry. Like skip breakfast hungry. There is a lot of food and normal portions not just a small bite and different stops. I definitely recommend this tour.
Alessandra was an absolute gem of a guide! She selected charming places to eat: a corner cafe, a delightful locals’ restaurant, a street food vendor and of course a top notch gelato shop with most unusual flavours to finish. She explained each course and interjected snippets of information about the city as we walked between venues. The food was excellent. We didn’t have to walk too far but comfortable shoes are always advisable. The tour was at a leisurely pace leaving time to eat chat and take in the surroundings.
