The charge for the toilet was really not necessary even though it was 10bart for the privilege. The snorkeling stop was ok not great, quite a strong current on the occasion we visited, which put quite a few people off. I would also suggest using your own masks as those provided were not great. Pig island itself was very good, and well worth the visit, a range of pigs (all sizes) you will not be disappointed. Plenty of photos to be had, you can feed and water them as much as you want. The time on the island is adequate for the visit, swimming, kayaking and for those who want to walk a trip to the viewing place is worth it. Overall a good little trip and value for money.
Dear Bradley Shepard, Thank you for your time to leave us a review! Feedback like yours is meaningful to us. We will definitely share your words with our team to keep them motivated. Regarding the toilet fee, there may have been some misunderstanding. However, we highly appreciate your feedback and will share it with our team to enhance our service in the future. We look forward to welcoming you to Koh Samui again! Best regards, Faii - Smile Samui Team
Great overall - only negatives were waits were a bit long waiting to board for the remainder of the busses to arrive and the hotel collection came at the last 5 minutes of the window meaning we were sitting out the front for 25 minutes waiting. Guides were great location was great and food was good
Great tour pig island is well worth the visit, we were lucky to have perfect weather. The food at Koh Tan was amazing and plentiful. Our guide Cola made the tour easy and fun. The snorkeling was fantastic with a fresh water shower after with plenty of cold bottled water supplied. Very glad we chose happy Samui tours.
I had a really nice trip to the island. The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming, making the stay even more pleasant. It was a very special experience to be on the island – the surroundings were cosy and relaxing, and you felt really welcome. One of the fun activities was clapping the pigs – it was both entertaining and a bit charming to get close to the animals. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend the place to others who are looking for a both relaxing and slightly different experience
Dear Lilian B, Thank you for sharing your experience on Pig Island & Koh Tan Tour with us! We’re thrilled that our team could make your stay even more special. The island's famous pigs are truly a highlight, and we're so glad you enjoyed their charming company! It’s wonderful to know you found the island’s atmosphere relaxing and unique. Your recommendation means a lot to us. We look forward to welcoming you back for another unique and relaxing experience soon! Best regards, Jiggy
The first island we visited was supposed to be a beach paradise, instead it was a dump. When you were snorkeling, you only saw stones, not corals. We were told that we could not stop at the actual beach because of the weather. Then you could have done without it completely instead of dropping us off in the dump. Once on Pig Island, the beach was a little cleaner. We were not offered a kayak as described. We booked this tour exclusively for kayaking. The crew was friendly and eager. Food was fine. Toilets on the island an imposition. Considering that so many tourists stop there every day, you should try a bit to maintain the standards. This tour was a disappointment and not worth the money. You are welcome to reimburse us.
Dear Helene, Thank you for your review and apologies for any disappointed experience causing on you! Normally, the sea condition in November till the beginning on January is quite rough and wind blows the rubbish from the sea to the shore, it happens from natural phenomenon. With the kayak and toilet issues, we have passed your feedback to the team and hope it will get improve for the better service. Feedback like yours helps us improve. We hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Koh Samui! Best regards, Jiggy
If you want to see the pigs, enjoy some good food, go kayaking & kick back on a pretty beach, this company are excellent for this trip. Half a day (4 hours) is enough - you don’t need to go on a full day tour. The guys looked after us really well, including first aid for cuts, the boat was fast and clean, and we had a really good day! However, if it’s a snorkelling experience you want, the one small area of mostly dead coral is disappointing & sad. You can likely see a lot more elsewhere, maybe Koh Tao?This is not really a snorkelling trip.
Dear Gaisha M, Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great time on the tour. We're happy that you enjoyed the pigs, food, and kayaking, and that our team took great care of you. We sincerely apologize that the snorkeling of the trip did not meet your expectations. We agree that Koh Tao is a better destination for snorkeling experience. This program is a great option for guests who don't want to travel far or spend a full day on a tour. In just half a day, you can get up close with nature and relax completely. Best regards, Jiggy
For the half day trip, 3 hours were spent on the pig island which I think was too long as there wasn’t much activity to do. Also the weather wasn’t good, storm was coming, which we could have gone back to Koh Samui earlier to avoid the wave and choppy sea.
Dear Sock Peng Ng, Thank you for your review! The time for 3 hours on the Pig Island, it is included for having lunch with this program as well. Many tourists want to spend time here to relax, swim, sun bath, and feed the pigs. If you would love to do the shorter trip, private boat maybe more suitable because you can come back whenever you prefer. Best regards, Jiggy
Nice relaxing day with the pigs! We had ample time to explore and hang out at pig island. The beach was nice and relaxing and had plenty of seating all over including sunbeds. Just your boat and maybe another boat full of people will be there. The pigs are pigs! In all their glory they are dirty, stinky, and fat! So cute to see them in their element living the island life! Snorkeling was fun and short, but the half day was perfect for me. A bonus was seeing the sunset!
We were taken care of before the tour even commenced. We were located in the hills so we were expecting and quite happy to find our own way to the pier and back, however Saii from the company messaged me via WhatsApp and she was really helpful and gave us a pick up location close by to our accomodation. Our driver was fantastic! The speed boat tour was amazing and the tour guides communicated all the plans with us (arrival times, snorkelling time, arrival to pig island and dinner and departure time from there).
Decent but not great. Off to a great start with pickup exactly on time, but 2 (out of 6) hours wait to get on the boat was not fun. At all. Then a quick boat ride to the murky waters off Koh Tan for '45 minutes nearly an hour' of snorkeling around MANY other speedboats. That poor coral should be off limits at least until it heals. After the snorkeling 'experience' things started looking up. Koh Madsum was actually fun, not overcrowded (we picked an afternoon trip). Plenty of spots to sit and some available longchairs. The food provided was decent. The experienced included waiting for the sunset, so it didn't feel rushed during the last bit. It's a shame they have to clean the beach after all the tourist boats, including ours. Come on people, it's not that hard! You drink out of a bottle? Throw it in the bin, NOT on the sand. Cigarette all smoked up? Throw the bud in the bin! Napkin flies away? Get it!
Dear Andrei Hordouan, Thank you for your feedback and aware of the trash on the island! Regarding for the waiting time, we check with the team and you got picked up at 13:00 hrs. from the hotel to the pier takes about an hour and if pick up others then may take longer time. After checked in then the boat left at around 14:45 hrs. As of the shared trip, so it takes a bit longer sometimes to get everyone ready. Another option for people who don't want to wait for a long time that they can book for the private boat. With the snorkeling spot at Koh Tan, it is not really beautiful as Koh Tao or Angthong and some sad to have dead corals from the people. For the garbages on the island, appreciated your kind awareness. It is really important for visitors to take the responsibility and save the environment. Best regards, Jiggy
