It is a beautiful December Monday morning, we joined a “Highlights of Panama City” shore excursion of our Cruise Lines. Having had a Tram ride gone through a ruined area, we stopped at Museum of the Plaza Mayor. The museum displays the history of Old Panama. Old Panama City was the first city of the Pacific Coast of the Americas and played a major role in the conquering of South America. Following Tour of the ruins of Old Panama, we arrived Casco Antiguo or Colonial Panama. This area of the city was founded in 1673 after the original capital was left in ruins following Captain Henry Morgan's attack two years earlier and features some lovely French and Spanish architecture. Our tour guide leaded us walking to the Cathedral. The Metropolitan Archcathedral Basilica of Santa María la Antigua is a Catholic church located in the Colonial Panama. All 12 Apostles statues of Christ were on the front face of the Cathedral. The stained glass windows depicting various saints are resplendent with the sun coming through. Finally the Bus took us back to our waiting ship.
My wife and I went on a tour of Panama City , Panama while on a cruise. The tour operator was Aventuras 2000. The bus was clean and our guide Gil was informative, personable and humorous. We walked the streets of the Old Town ( Old Town 2). Number 1 was destroyed by pirates. We got to see the ruins of number 1 after walking the streets of number 2. Great tour experience.
Couldn't have asked for a better driver. Mario went above and beyond to provide an enjoyable, educational and fun tour for my family and I. Enjoyed time at Miraflores Locks and was lucky to witness 2 large cruise ships passing through the Canal; had a very nice time at Amador Causeway and especially enjoyed the stops along the way. Highly recommend Almiza Tours and our dear friend Mario - you are THE BEST
Thank you very much for your lovely words, your party are welcome anytime, we wish the best for you and your family
