Amazing trip to the waterfall and Embera village! Philippe was a fantastic guide — funny, entertaining, and made the whole day enjoyable. Transfer was smooth and on time, the waterfall was stunning, lunch was delicious, and spending time with the Emberá people was a highlight of the trip. Highly recommend!
We had an absolutely amazing experience on our Embera tour with Kareem and Javier. I went with a friend and my mom to celebrate her birthday, and this truly became one of the highlights of our trip to Panama. From start to finish, Kareem was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely passionate about sharing the Embera culture with us. He gave us fascinating insight into the Embera community, their traditions, and Panamanian culture, while making sure everyone felt comfortable, included, and engaged throughout the day. The experience felt authentic, respectful, and meaningful. It wasn’t simply a tour — we had the opportunity to connect with the community, learn about their way of life, and experience their culture in a way that felt genuine and personal. And then came the most unexpected and heartwarming surprise. 🎂❤️ It happened to be my mom’s birthday, and when Kareem found out, he actually stopped at a CVS along the way to pick up a birthday cake for her. Later, in the village, the cake was presented to my mom while everyone sang and danced to the birthday song. Watching her celebrate her birthday surrounded by the Embera community was such a beautiful and unforgettable moment. It was something we never expected, and it made the day even more special. Kareem also brought such a warm personality and great sense of humor to the experience. He was incredibly patient, answered all of our questions, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a wonderful day. The lunch prepared for us in the village was hands down one of the best and most filling meals I had during my entire trip. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and authentic. I also really enjoyed the canoe ride and the short hike to the waterfall. The waterfall was the perfect way to end the day — beautiful, refreshing, and peaceful. Kareem even found a path that allowed those of us who weren’t swimming to get close enough to enjoy the scenery and take some amazing photos. 📸💦 This was so much more than a sightseeing excursion. It was a day filled with culture, connection, laughter, delicious food, adventure, and a very special birthday memory that my mom and I will always cherish. We would absolutely recommend this experience to our friends and family. If you’re visiting Panama and looking for an authentic cultural experience, book with Kareem and Javier. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Kareem and Javier, for giving us such an incredible day and memories we’ll carry with us for a long time. ❤️🇵🇦✨
Absolutely worth the money! The only thing I didn’t realize was if the river was too low you had to hike to the waterfall. Mother Nature decided it was time to rain, so it was very slippery. I ended up going barefoot a large portion of the hike. But it was worth it! The waterfall was beautiful and the water felt so good! Everyone in the village was so nice and welcoming! I would definitely do it again, I would have just worn different shoes.
We had such an amazing experience visiting the Emberá village! Our tour guide and driver were absolutely incredible from start to finish. I’m pregnant, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable, helping me every step of the way on the trails and always checking in on me. The tour itself was so much fun—interactive, engaging, and incredibly inclusive. We learned so much about the Emberá culture while feeling welcomed the entire time. Their kindness, patience, and genuine care made the experience even more special. I can’t recommend this tour enough. Thank you for making it such a memorable day!
Our quite was an extraordinary person. I loved him, he was very friendly and professional at the same time. One big Bravo!
Had an Amazing bday experience! The village made us feel so welcomed and prepared a phenomenal lunch. Must do and request Clement as you tour guide; knowledgeable, attentive to all, and bilingual.
Our guide, Orlando, was incredibly kind and shared lots of information about the tribes of Panamá with us. It was a fun and unique experience to see and interact with the Embera people. They were all welcoming and the lunch the made was delicious. I’d high recommend this tour for any Panama City visitors!
Clement and Uciel were excellent tour guides from start to finish. They ensured everyone was properly prepared for the trip by outlining all you should carry with you. If you did not have what was needed, a quick supermarket stop was done before we went about our journey. Clement made sure all persons regardless of language were included in his explanations and general interactions. He also ensured the best parts of the trip were captured by being our designated photographer for the day. Everything outlined in the description was accurate. No surprises. Overall excellent trip.
The guide Clément and the driver Uciel were really well organized and very friendly.
An amazing trip the tour guide Ruben was so great. We enjoyed it all our group had lovely people. The walk to the waterfall can be slippery advice wear shoes that can get wet. The native people are very helpful on the trail to and from also. The waterfall area was fun the temperature of the water was cool but not cold. Once back at the village area we were quickly served lunch very tasty and such a wonderful spread of food. Chicken... fish... plantains and more dessert was fresh fruit. Highly recommend this trip!
