I didn’t go to Palermo: I toured the whole island but left Palermo for a next visit. Sicily itself is exciting; it is the third time I have visited it and I will return many more times because I always discover something new. It has a very rich history with impressive archaeological parks, a spectacular heritage and a very authentic, exquisite cuisine. But landscapes, especially in Spring, have nothing to envy. I recommend to tour Sicily with your own car and get out of the tourist circuits to get to know the island better. In large archaeological parks take the services of a guide who conveniently explains the place: Segesta, Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Syracuse and Ortigia, Enna, Taormina, Erice, Catania, Cefalu, Trapani, Noto, Messina... it's ALL!. It is worth climbing to the vowel Etna because, if it is not covered with clouds, the view is breathtaking. And street, especially street to soak in Sicily “in a pure state”.
A very informative and interesting tour of Palermo. The guide was very good at describing the history and culture of Sicily.
Fabrizzo was an excellent guide great knowledge of Palermo & took us to some amazing street food stalls to sample local cuisine. Highly recommended even if you are travelling solo. Great experience
Fabrizio, a true Palermitani, was our excellent guide for the tour. He started us with some history and then we hit the Capo street market where Fabrizio had arranged for us to taste many local specialties, enough to fill us up (served as lunch), and we learned about ingredients and the history of some of the dishes, which I found particularly fascinating. We also stopped at the Cathedral and the Massimo Theater, both of which Fabrizio was very knowledgeable about.
The second time with Maurizio and he confirmed his professionalism and passion for his work! Fully satisfied!!!! There will be no shortage of opportunities to introduce you to other tourists!
Maurizio was a fantastic guide, very prepared and really passionate. The tour took us to discover the main points of Palermo, all contextualized in the local history and culture. Maurizio has also made himself available to offer us advice on further places to visit in Palermo and its surroundings and on places where to taste the culinary delicacies of this city. I really recommend a tour with Maurizio!
Maurizio was an excellent guide: accurate explanations, interesting anecdotes and lots of sympathy. Engaging tour and lots of useful tips for places to eat and places to visit.
Maurizio in our opinion is a very prepared guide, nice and very helpful. Helped a foreign tourist solve a problem related to her apartment so she wouldn't miss a visit to the city
Excellent food and history tour. Fabrizio was very knowledgeable, friendly and learnt all our names very quickly. Lots of history - you don't actually need entrance fee to the cathedral. Food was great although a tasting platter of more of the amazing food types in the market would have been fun. Not a huge amount to eat overall on the tour. There were 14 people on the tour which is more than the 12 max but it didn't detract and everyone was very friendly and chatty.
The only advice: let Maurizio accompany you on your tour! He loves the history of his city, the city itself and Sicily as a whole. It manages to convey what is a passion and not a job. Thank you, Maurizio!!! You made us love Palermo and the Palermtani even more.
