Paella cooking class: Sangria workshop, Tapas & Wine – evening

Description
Paella was born here in Valencia—and this hands-on evening class teaches you the real recipe, not the tourist version. Learn to make traditional Valencian paella with meat and vegetables, the way local families have cooked it for generations. No seafood. No shortcuts. Just authentic technique from Valencian chefs who grew up making it. Join our small-group workshop after the city cools down and master the secrets: achieving the perfect socarrat (the prized crispy rice crust), using Albufera rice from Valencia's own fields, and balancing saffron like a pro. While your paella simmers, enjoy a sangria-making workshop and sample traditional tapas. Then sit down to feast on your creation with local wine, salad, mistela, and homemade dessert. The perfect way to end your day in Valencia.

Amazing experience Miguel and Hosue were great, knowledgeable, funny, and made the tastiest Paella i have eaten Travelled with my daughter and we both enjoyed the evening. Learnt how to make great Sangria enjoyed drinking it as well the group was fun and we were well looked after, with sangria, tapas, an amazing paella and aperitifs along the way would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valencia!
A truly fun way to learn a bit more about Valencian paella and some classic Spanish cocktails. I went solo and I left with some nice memories
Had so much fun with Anna - great instructor and hostess! We learned some tricks, had great Sangria and snacks and the paella was delicious! What a very fun night and worth the cost!
Paella was amazing as well as the tapas and sangria .. plenty of it too. Richard and Miguel made the evening fun but very informative. Met some amazing people yoo and had such laughs .. definitely recommend even if your alone traveller.
Today’s paella class was a beautiful immersion into Valencian cooking. From the moment we started prepping the ingredients, the instructor shared stories, traditions, and techniques that brought the dish to life. The aroma, the simmering broth, the slow build toward the socarrat—it all felt like participating in something truly local and meaningful. The final paella was incredible, and the experience was super fun and unforgettable.
Thank you for a lovely evening and a great cooking lesson. I would highly recommend visitor and others to take the cooking class. The sangria, tapas and the paella we made was delicious. Chees.
It was truly a wonderful experience and was a lot of fun!
Such a great experience that if you’re not sure whether to go, just go — it’s unforgettable. 😊
A great experience, Kris was a wonderful teacher and Oscar kept things organized. Kris got the whole group involved and was very knowledgeable. The tapas and drinks were also good. One suggestion, maybe to wear name tags and have people introduce themselves before starting. Great time and cost was about right.
What an amazing experience! The paella making class was super informative, fun, and incredible value for money. The food was absolutely delicious, the sangria was amazing, and the whole atmosphere was fantastic from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Ana, who was the best host - so friendly, funny, and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. She made everything easy to follow and kept everyone entertained the whole time. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting and looking for a fun, authentic, and delicious experience!
