We have made an absolutely unforgettable journey from Cairo to the Siwa oasis, through Marsa Matruh, the Cleopatra oasis, Shali, the stunning Sand Sea, the blue salt pools, the Bahariya oasis and the magical White Desert... and much of it has been so special we owe it to our guide, Mohamed “the Italian”. Mohamed is simply exceptional. Very cultured, passionate about history and with an impressive ability to explain each place with context, rigor and curiosities that make a difference. He was not just a guide: he was a living encyclopedia of Egypt. Every temple, every oasis and every landscape made sense with their explanations. In addition, he always kept an eye on us, solving any unforeseen problems quickly and professionally, adapting the pace when needed and making sure we enjoyed every moment. His close treatment and sense of humor made the trip even more special. Mention also for the three drivers who accompanied us at the different stages of the tour: all excellent professionals, prudent, attentive and very friendly. On long, desert routes, that makes a huge difference. In short, a spectacular trip through unique landscapes of Egypt, perfectly organized and accompanied by a team of ten. We would repeat without hesitation.
