Considering I booked this as a gift to my wife, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and seeing the rest of the group enjoy it as well. Josh ranks I. The top two of my global tour guides. He’s knowledgable, funny, and professional. The entire bus sang a long and participated. His personal passion and interest in the Sound of Music story was a value add. My wife who is a big fan smiled the entire time and was the first to every site like a kid in a candy store. The lunch added a nice twist. It took a little long, they apologized and comped our drinks. Glad we chose that option too. The food was great….considering it wasn’t Louisiana cooking.

There is nothing we love more than hearing that guests had a great time with us and it's even better if it was a gift for your wife and the surprise was a success. Our guests' satisfaction is our top priority, and when we read your comments, we know we're on the right track. We hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you and your wife back in Salzburg Someday! With best regards to Louisiana, your Salzburg Panorama Tours team
The tour was nice and fun. April and our driver Ferdinand did a great job of getting us around town. You are on the bus for quite a while. The meal after the tour was good, but you had to find the place -about a 10 minute walk.
Thank you very much for your kind review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and had a fun experience. We'll be sure to pass your compliments on to April and Ferdinand—they'll be happy to know they made your day memorable. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the time spent on the bus and the walk to the restaurant. Your comments are valuable and help us continue improving the overall experience for our guests. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure in the future!
Absolutely loved the Original Sound of Music Tour. If you are visiting Salzburg and are a SoM fan, this tour is a must! We opted for the Schnitzel and Noodle tour which has a three course lunch afterwards. Although the food was good, I wish we had just done the tour. The restaurant is across the river and several blocks away from where the tour ends and we had to hurry to get there in time.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for joining the Original Sound of Music Tour. We’re very happy to hear that you absolutely loved the tour and that it was a highlight of your visit to Salzburg, especially as a fan of The Sound of Music. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the Schnitzel and Noodle lunch option. While we’re glad you enjoyed the food, we understand that the timing and location of the restaurant—being across the river and some distance from the tour endpoint—made the experience feel rushed and less convenient. Your comment is very helpful, and we will certainly pass it on to the team responsible for planning the package logistics. We’re sorry that this part of the experience did not fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to point it out.
Absolutely brilliant! April is just the best guide, fun, knowledge, perfect blend of info and very professional. Even a non Sound of Music fan couldn’t help but enjoy this trip! Thoroughly recommend 😊
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a great experience. Your kind words about April truly mean a lot—she’ll be thrilled to know that her enthusiasm, knowledge, and sense of fun made the tour so memorable. It’s especially lovely to hear that even non-Sound of Music fans can enjoy the experience. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour in the future!
Wish we had more time in Monse, had no time to have a snack or peruse the stores
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your visit. We understand that you would have liked more time in Mons to explore the shops and grab a snack. We try to balance the itinerary so guests can experience several highlights in one day, but we appreciate your comment and will certainly take it into consideration for future tours. We hope to welcome you again on another trip!
This was such a fun experience! I grew up watching The Sound of Music with my mother and then watched it with my children. Simon gave us interesting facts about the filming of the movie. He really added to the experience. 10/10 would recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that The Sound of Music has been such a special part of your family across generations, and that the tour brought those memories to life. It's great to know that Simon's insights and behind-the-scenes stories about the filming enhanced your experience and made the tour even more memorable. Thank you for your kind recommendation. We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you back to Salzburg again in the future!
Lovely tour! Loved our tour guide David and our driver Hackie! We did it as a day trip from Munich, which I may not recommend. Very long day and unless you’re very comfortable with the train system, it may cause some stress. Salzburg was beautiful - hope to visit again someday.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that David and Hackie helped make your experience memorable. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to both of them. We appreciate your honest feedback regarding the day trip from Munich. It is indeed a long day, and we understand that navigating the train system can be challenging for some travelers. Your insight will certainly be helpful for future guests planning their visit. We're so glad you enjoyed the beauty of Salzburg, and we hope to welcome you back again someday—perhaps for a longer stay so you can explore even more of what this wonderful city has to offer! Safe travels and thank you again for choosing us.
This is a wonderful way to learn more about the making of The Sound of Music while enabling you to see some of the sights of Salzburg. David, our tour guide was very entertaining, particularly during the 'Lonely Goatherd'. Ferdinand, our driver did a marvellous job of safely navigating the roads. Make sure you take photos along the way to Mondsee as the tour returns via a different route, and you won't get a chance to take photos on the return journey. The sing along is a fun aspect of the tour. We finished with The Sound of Music meal at Restaurant Herzl, which was delicious.
Thank you very much for your kind and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour and that it provided you with a memorable way to experience the world of The Sound of Music while also discovering Salzburg and its surroundings. It is especially wonderful to know that David’s entertaining guiding and Ferdinand’s safe driving contributed positively to your day. We will gladly pass on your compliments to both of them. We also appreciate your helpful tip regarding photo opportunities on the way to Mondsee – this is valuable information for future guests. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the sing-along experience as well, as it is designed to add a fun and interactive element to the tour. Finally, we are pleased that you had a delicious meal at Restaurant Herzl to round off your experience. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Salzburg on another occasion.
A fun tour with very interesting insights. April (our guide) was fabulous and passionate about the Sound of Music, and our driver Alex was kind.
Perfect for Sound of Music fans and those wanting to know more about the film, the original Trapp family, and Salzburg. Brigette was an awesome tour guide! Really enjoyed singing along to the film with a bus full of strangers from across the world. Such fun!
