This town is the start of South Africa’s stirring region, the Garden route. Mossel Bay is a coastal town best known for its stunning beaches and unique natural beauty. This town is jam packed with adventure, culture that stretches over 164 00 years old, modern infrastructure and admirable scenery.
Oudtshoorn is one of the coolest little towns in South Africa, popular for the Cango Caves as well as being the Ostrich Capital of the world, this town offers a bit of everything for everyone like riding an Ostrich to hiking to waterfalls.
This is the heart of the Cape Wildflower floral kingdom. Situated between lush forests and the shores of a peaceful lagoon, it offers many activities and attractions of a wide variety. The most well known attraction is two great sandstone cliffs guarding the mouth of the lagoon which connects the estuary with the sea. A lookout has been put together on the eastern head showcasing spectacular views of the lagoon, Leisure Isle and Knysna.
Plettenberg Bay is like a small piece of the Cape Peninsula cut away and secreted along a discrete piece of beautiful coastline. With a pretty cool island to explore, up market restaurants and plenty of wildlife and activities Plettenberg is a great place to escape to and experience the best of both worlds.
Jeffrey’s Bay is a beautiful coastal town, renowned for its surfing culture, and laid back, relaxed atmosphere. Jeffrey’s Bay offers many exciting activities, awesome shopping opportunities at the local factory shops, legendary parties and so many funky and friendly people to meet.
Known as South Africa’s ‘Friendly’ city, this city offers a diverse selection of attractions and things to do and mainly it’s a family-fun destination with Eco attractions, wildlife and cultural experiences, scenic nature trails as well as over 40 km of breathtaking coastlines and beaches.

Pickup Locations & Times
Pick-up and drop-off at the door of selected accommodations from the local supplier departure list (more than 200 hostels, guest houses, and hotels on the list). You will be able to choose your pick up location when booking the ticket. If you are staying outside of our pick up areas or at an Airbnb, then please choose the meeting point option, the Head office in central Cape Town, the address is 32 Burg St Cape Town City Centre Cape Town 8001. For the rest of the trip, you will have access to the hop log in, there you will be able to update your pick up locations, in some cases, you will have to go to a meeting point. You will be responsible for your own itinerary. Be aware the hop log in allow changes up to 12 hours before departure.

I would definitely recommend Bazbus to anyone I know, I used their service to travel along the garden route and the driver Jephta was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area helping me to learn about the regions we passed - and even spot whales!. As a solo female traveller he made me feel very safe, even offering to help me when my accommodation was not as expected. 10/10 service, thank you :)
The Bazbus experience was absolutely fantastic. We got picked up and dropped off at / close to our accommodation. Our driver Jeff gave us some insights and the overall atmosphere in the bus was chill. Except for one day the bus was 30-60 minutes early and max was filled with 5 passengers (probably because of winter season). I’d recommend this for people who don’t want to stress about driving in SA and have enough time and flexibility to share the bus with others.
Pick-up and drop-off were on time and very easy. The bus was clean and the drivers were kind and helpful and had ideas on what else to do in the towns we were going to and were able to connect us with other operators for certain activities. Especially Jephta was helpful in this regard.

My experience of travelling in the Bazbus with Jephta was amazing. He was right on time, communicated well in advance to ease the pickup process and kept us entertained with interesting anecdotes and information about South African culture and food throughout the journey. Really enjoyed my ride with him. Later, he also helped with accommodation leads for my next destination on the garden route.

Jeff/Jephta was an excellent driver!! We were picked up right from our accommodation and taken to our first stop in Wilderness. The journey was comfortable, and Jeff was a great driver and guide - sharing his wisdom and experiences as a local from Cape Town. This is the best way to travel through the Garden Route 100% if you don’t have a car and/or are solo traveling. We would highly recommend BazBus and having Jeff as your driver and guide!

We started our tour on May 29 and completed it on June 8, returning safely to Cape Town. Our ten-day journey with Baz Bus was a truly enjoyable experience. First, Nick and Charon at the Baz Bus office were incredibly friendly. They explained the tour clearly and shared many useful tips, which helped us throughout our trip. Their kindness and warm hospitality made us feel welcome from the very beginning. A special thank you goes to Brian, who made our journey truly memorable. He cared not only about getting us safely from one destination to another, but also about making the journey itself enjoyable. All of drivers punctual, drove safely, and provided appropriate breaks, making even long travel days comfortable. Brian stood out for his thoughtful approach. He took the time to introduce the places we passed, and whenever he spotted interesting wildlife, he would slow down or stop so that passengers could enjoy the view and take photos. He always followed traffic regulations and drove responsibly, helping us appreciate not just the destinations but the beauty of the journey itself. Finally, when I accidentally left my sunglasses on the bus, Brian went out of his way to wait for me and personally return them. It was a small act that reflected his exceptional kindness and dedication to his passengers. Thank you to Brian, and the entire Baz Bus team for making our South African adventure such a wonderful experience. We will remember this trip for a very long time.
