I was born and raised in these places, my ancestors already lived here as did the family that owns the farmhouse that hosts us. Over the years we have carried out agricultural activities that have expanded rural knowledge. The profession of hiking guide has taught me how to best narrate my territory. A day as a Shepherd is an immersion in uncontaminated places and with boundless landscapes, full of ancient and authentic history. It will be possible to rediscover flavors and sensations that are now far from everyday life. Making a cheese with your own hands and with the milk milked from the animals that live a few meters away strengthens the relationship with the territory and the experience, from which you can also take home the piece of cheese you made!!

We had an amazing day with Paolo, an experience that truly teaches you about life and nature in Abruzzo, a region absolutely worth visiting. Paolo’s explanations about the Majella National Park and everything that surrounds it were fantastic, engaging, and insightful. The day continued with a wonderful visit to a local agriturismo, where we tasted traditional food and wine, made our own cheese, visited the stables, and simply had a lot of fun. Being in a small group made the experience feel even more authentic, lived, and unforgettable. All in all, it was a perfect day so highly recommended! If we come back, we will definitely choose Paolo again, as he and his lovely wife were truly exceptional hosts.
