Felipe and all the staff were so friendly and attentive! We enjoyed seeing Chankanaab again after 36 years! Lots of changes for the better! Loved our snorkeling experience. Bought a package of underwater pictures taken while snorkeling from Osvaldo the photo team! That was awesome! Loved our visit!
We usually go to Paradise Beach when we are in Cozumel, but the pricing has become so expensive. We decided to try Chankanaab Park this time and we are so glad we did. We ended up on the part of the beach away from the pool and more lively area. It was so quiet and peaceful. The staff was very nice and we had the most peaceful and relaxing day. In fact we didn't even realize that there was a real party going on over by the pool until we walked over to see the cute little sea lion show. The food was good. We didn't drink alcohol, so I can't comment on the drinks. This area is much more of a snorkeling type beach, very rocky and not the sandy slow slope of walking into the water like PB, but still beautiful. We would absolutely go back here. The botanical gardens were so pretty and you can walk around and enjoy nature or just lie in your chair on the beach. We loved it.
We did some snorkeling today. It was amazing! And so relaxing! Phillipe was our guide. He did a great job! He was very thorough. The guys at Waikiki beach bar and restaurant were fabulous as well! Chakanaab is a wonderful place! Highly recommend!
Had a great visit at Chnkanaab. About 10 minutes from the International Port where our cruise ship stopped. Our guide Leonel (Rey Leon) was extremely helpful getting us to the right place and setup to snorkel.
The hospitality was top notch. Location is beautiful with may amenities for both kids and adults.
Very easy to book. Great attention to detail by the company. Felipe meet us at the park entrance, showed us around, took us to get our snorkel equipment and showed us where the best snorkeling was. I had trouble with my mask. They switched it out twice (without making me feel like I was doing something wrong) and with no complaint on their part. Lunch was delicious. Everyone we interested with was wonderful. The park was a great place to spend a few hours.
Jose is a fantastic guide. Very informative and friendly. He led us and gave good advice. He remained with us the whole time and helped when we needed help. This was our first time snorkling and Jose made the experience very comfortable. 100% tecommended.
Excellent with Jose. He was wonderful, helpful and made us feel as ease. Highly recommend
This was the worst excursion. We did the manatee encounter where we were supposed to be able to feed them. While standing in line before getting in, a gentleman asked if we wanted to buy our picture with them for $50. We told them that we would wait to see how the photo came out (like every other animal encounter we have done we decide to buy after seeing them). We get in the water for no more than 5 minutes, pet them a couple times and then get out. We didn’t get to feed them and didn’t have our pictures taken with them. This was not as advertised and would strongly discourage anyone from doing this. The food was also terrible. The “queso” tasted like a can of cheez whiz was mixed into a gallon of water. The meat was flavorless and the chips were more than stale. The beach area was kept clean and there were people cleaning as raking while we were there, including the seaweed, but they then dump all the dead seaweed by the animal encounters and one of the restaurants so all you smell is the rotting seaweed. The only bright side was our tour guide Pepe.
Really enjoyed Chankanaab. It was not at all crowded, the gardens and Mayan replicas were neat and the snorkeling was great! The staff were all really friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. I would highly recommend this excursion!
