Cullen did an amazing job explaining the history of grand central in a fun and informative way. I’d highly recommend the tour.
Thank you to John, our guide who shared his knowledge of the Grand Central Terminal. A fascinating insight into this incredible building, the history and architecture, plus stories about the Vanderbilts and Jackie Onassis. An important story about the value of heritage preservation in a city. I highly recommend this tour on your visit to New York. I always search for different experiences, slightly off the regular tourist routes where possible and this is certainly the perfect way to learn something new, away from the regular tourist sights.
I went with 2 old friends, one of whom booked it for us. Jonathan led the most exhilarating, hilarious and informative tour I can imagine—so much more fun than ever I anticipated. In a group of 12, he made it feel intimate by learning all our names and addressing each of us enough so that by the middle of the tour it felt like we all knew each other.
Jonathan was an excellent guide. The presentation was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. A grand tour!
I have lived in NY my whole life and for 15 years commuted through Grand Central but never saw or knew the details that Jonathan provided on the tour. He was engaging, knowledgeable and theatrical, and I loved every minute. There were 13 of us on the tour and Jonathan remembered everyone’s name and hometown and involved us all as we walked around the staton.
Jonathan was an excellent guide creatively and eloquently revealing the story of Grand Central Terminal. We enjoyed every minute and learned many new interesting facts. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our Behind the Scenes tour of Grand Central Station. There is so much history packed inside the building that we were completely unaware of! Our tour guide Jonathan D. kept the tour moving and interesting- he is an excellent storyteller! We will definitely be booking another tour through this company next time we’re in NY.
We had a fantastic tour with Jonathan! He kept the entire group of 16 people engaged for two hours, and we learned so much! I've lived in New York my whole life and never knew any of this history!Highly recommend this interesting tour
Excellent experience, wonderful tour guide, and great value!
Quite honestly, this tour was added to our schedule at the last minute -- how interesting is a train station? But, it ended up being one of the most fascinating tours I have ever taken. First, our guide was super organized and had ear pieces so that it was enjoyable and easy to hear him. From the ceiling to the windows to the floors, to light fixtures, walking in places I would never have known to even look at and then outside looking at the building architecture, it is hands down one of the best tours we took in New York City. I know my description sounds boring (like who cares about a light fixture, right?), but everything had a history and reasons and this is a tour I could take ten more times because there was so much information and it was so very, very interesting. I would say, Statue of Liberty is #1 and this tour is #2.
