Wine country bike tour.

We signed up via Viator.com to go on a vineyard tour in Ontario’s wine country. Our tour was with Grape Expectations. We met another lovely couple from Newfoundland (we are from Michigan) and our hosts were the best! The ride was amazing, the bikes were great, with little baskets to hold all we needed for a 17 mile bike ride. Dave was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Wine, cycling through the beautiful countryside and along the Niagara River, and new friends- what more can you ask for! Viator makes it easy to book excursions!

The Falls from All Angles

A first class way to see the falls - See Sight guide Mani was awesome and we had lots of time to do all three activities - the boat, behind the falls and up the tower. Also maple syrup tasting was fun. Informative and a great way to spend a morning.

Grape Escapes Half Day Bike and Wine Tour

Grape Escapes was a fantastic experience! We visited 3 wineries - were able to try and buy some delicious wines. Diane was a knowledgeable and gracious leader - always checking on us and ensuring our safety and that we were enjoying the experience! The roads were flat for biking which would make the ride easy for an inexperienced biker. This was a wonderful way to see the beauty of Niagra-on-the-lake and learn about the wine making history! Would highly recommend!

Great trip

Absolutely fantastic experience — we arrived early and were allowed to borrow our bikes for a quick ride to the lake. Dave the guide was very friendly and went at a good pace. Good selection of wineries and wines, lunch was a welcome inclusion!

This experience was...

This experience was amazing, adding a bike to a wine tour is a great way to explore NOTL while also taking in the scenery and getting fresh air/excercise. It gives you more time to let the wine "digest" there is minor hills and you get a workout, but because you take a break at the wineries in between it breaks up the excercise. My husband and I upgraded to a tandem bike and it was great, 10/10 would recommend.

All in all it was a great...

All in all it was a great experience. Our tour guide, Ian was great. Unfortunately as soon as we arrived to the first winery it started to thunder and lighting so we had to wait an whole extra hour before leaving. They did bring us another wine to taste which was great and they were anticipating the rain so Ian packed ponchos for everyone. Because of the delay the tour took longer than expected which caused us to be tight on time for other events. Of course not within their control. The only recommendation I have is that they should let people know if you aren't somewhat physically fit or active that you should just upgrade to the electric bikes. 17 km for a person who isnt in the greatest shape is pretty tough. We made the best of it and laughed along the way as we didnt want to put a damper on the experience but that would be my only recommendation.
