From there, the boat ferries past the base of the American Falls, and onto the basin of Horseshoe Falls--the dramatic passage leading you through the roiling waterfall whitewater and massive rock formations. Niagara Falls in Early October

We had two great days at Niagara Falls. One very sunny and one very wet. A storm came in on the second day. Our experience/tour was on the stormy day. Our guide was a good sport and we continued with the falls experience. Very friendly. Very motivated and engaging. Very informative. The tour makes it very easy and consolidated to do the key parts of the visit to the falls with no hassle or challenges. We had no pressure or were rushed during the tour. We had a wonderful experience overall. I can see that if we had a great time and were able to do all 4 parts of the experience in the rain, that with a sunny day it would have been even more exciting. We stayed on the Canadian side of the falls. We enjoyed the falls from both sides. Going back and forth through the borders was not an issue at all, even with the government shutdown. The only minor issues were meeting up with the guide and some communication issues with ticketing that the company was actively involved with. I think this was mostly weather related and the company can not be faulted. The National Park on the U.S.A side is great and there is a lot to do either during the tour or after the tour. Other than a parking fee (which will be required on either side of the falls), walking the trails and enjoying the falls from the islands is fantastic and very much encouraged. There is a very simple but extensive trail system within the U.S.A. NP. There is easy access and short treks to the edge to see the Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls from different perspectives. One could easily spend the entire day on the U.S.A side. Also, don't forget that each evening the falls are lit up with a light show and there is a fireworks show over the American Falls each night. The evening events are best seen from the Canadian side.

Don't bother buying this package

The tour itself was conducted competently and the guide, Paul, was very good. But the experience was spoiled by the inability to find the start point and to get a return phone call from them directing us to the starting point. We had to go to the Visitors' Center to have them point us to the right place. Several panic calls from me were never returned. They COULD have supplied icewater instead of telling us "Go across the street and buy it." The trolley system in the park is severely inadequate resulting in long waits in the sun. We don't know if we saved any money with the tour over individually purchased tickets, but we would suggest touring that way. But then you would miss the excellent tour guide, Paul.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — and especially for your kind words about Paul. He’s one of our top guides, and we’re glad his professionalism stood out to you. That said, we do want to address a few points that may mislead future guests: ✅ Start location: Our meeting point is clearly listed in the confirmation, pre-tour text message, and email. We also send reminders with step-by-step instructions and a GPS pin. When guests follow those directions, they have no trouble finding us. We’re sorry if you missed that communication — but to say we were unreachable is not accurate. Our team responds to every message and call we receive in real time when possible. ✅ Water: We do not advertise water as part of our tour — and with multiple free water refill stations throughout Niagara Falls State Park, it’s surprising this was even an issue worth posting about. We prioritize helping guests stay safe and comfortable, and directing someone across the street to grab cold water (if they need it quickly) is just practical. ✅ Trolley service: While we agree the Park’s shuttle system isn’t always perfect, that is a state-run service, completely outside of our control. We do our best to plan around delays and help guests navigate it smoothly. It’s frustrating to see a review titled with criticism, while simultaneously praising your licensed guide and confirming that the tour itself was conducted competently. That contradiction can mislead others who are genuinely looking for a great experience — and that’s not fair to our team or our future guests. We take pride in what we do — and we’ll continue to show up, give it our all, and make sure every guest leaves with real memories. — The 5 Star Niagara Falls Tours & Events Team

It was one that I've...

It was one that I've never experienced before. The way we got so close to the falls, the history we learned, and our tour guide Steve, was all amazing!

The tour is not worth the money, come on your own and save a lot of money.

Guys, this tour is not worth the money. You can visit all the places yourself and buy tickets on the spot, and it will be much cheaper this way. The waterfall is simply incredible, it's worth a visit, but for the sake of economy, you can do it yourself. The guide actually just showed you where to go, and you can do it without him.

This tour was well worth the cost!!!

Steve was very knowledgeable! He answered questions. He made sure to talk to each person on his tour individually so he could find out their interests and preferences. He kept the tour moving and on schedule. He was aware of persons needing extra assistance and respectfully dealt with their needs. He used his microphone consistently so we could always hear what he was describing. Steve was a very good tour guide. The tour was well organized so each part flowed seamlessly into the next part.
