Caution - this cruise is not as advertised. The information on pickup (slip number, who to check in with, etc.) was completely incorrect. The cruise was slated to start at 4:30. We got to the slip at 4:15, and there were no boats anywhere. A boat (not branded at all as in the tour description) finally arrived at 4:30. We asked the crew if this was somehow our boat, since there was no other in sight. They said it was, so we joined the line to board. I paid for the 90-minute cruise, but ours only lasted an hour. There was also no narration from the crew on when we were passing key sights listed on the itinerary. The ship is old and shabby.
I booked with Viator over a month in advance for a 11 o’clock sailing. The day before the sailing I was called to say there was no 11 o’clock sailing, so I chose the 12.30pm instead. On the morning of the trip, we were on our way to the event when we received a call stating the boat had mechanical issues and we could move to a 12.30 pm sailing we advised we couldn’t because we had other commitments and would like a refund. An hour later somebody called again, offering a 2 or 4 o’clock sailing, again we told him we had other commitments. I book three trips through Viator and two cancelled. I received no real apology and will not use Viator again!
To be honest I don’t recommend this to nobody the cruise driver never showed up waited more then 2 hrs and the people at the gate were not helpful at all
This was such an amazing experience for your first time in New York City it was my partners first time and he wanted to see the statue of liberty with this tour you get more then just that living in the city all my life there was so much even I didn’t know our tour director was great and so funny if I’m not mistaken her name was Megan she was great and so informative I will say it goes get chilly on the water so bring a light jacket if your prone to getting cold easily but it was truly such an amazing tour they even stoped in front of the statue for ppl to take photos professionally and just regular pictures on the tour you do get one free photo anywhere on the tour except the statue of liberty and Brooklyn bridge it is 15 for digital and 20 for printed photos at those locations it was so nice to be on the water they also go sell snacks and beverages alcohol and non alcoholic on the tour over all 10/10 depending when you book and what time you will have a really pack boat weekends are usually busy hours where it will be kinda hard to move around but the weekdays are a breeze just be prepared to be bumped into by accident and if it wasn’t an accident say something a lot of people are not from the city and don’t know how to be polite good luck have fun!
The tour was organized in a good enjoyable manner. Boarding and disembarkation were smooth, the speaker was good.
Our trip was planned to have an evening cruise. They cancel by texting that it was at a different pier that was too far to reach. Then they say the following day for a time but we leave for the airport. I would not trust this company as far as I could throw them. They are pushy and don't care about their customers.
Molly was an excellent tour guide. She provided a lot of good information. I would definitely recommend.
No show by operator. Waited 15 minutes past meet place at 0 slip Pier 36. Called vendor who said he would get back to me. No word as of yet and trip remains.
Bumpy ride but so much fun. Plenty of viewing space. Lady Liberty up close was priceless. Lots of really good pics.
Good experience. Good pricing. Good spots on the ride. Easy to get to! Overall positive experience. Will recommend it.
