New York City Mafia and Local Food Tour led by NYPD Guides

Description
Begins either 4:30PM or 5:15PM. Why us? We LIVED this firsthand. Born & raised in Little Italy - or cops who worked the streets here - active and retired/ NYPD Officers. Our “walk with stories” breaks the typical tour company mold of boring facts, repetitive "stops" & irrelevant dates replaced with personal life experiences. Walk the very streets the mafia ruled with a real resident and meet other locals along the way. Plus food included is equivalent to a full 2 course dinner! Growing up witnessing some of New York’s infamous families and having consulted for TV and major films makes this a unique experience no other company can offer. Beginning at a famous Mafia "Red Sauce Joint" as seen in Soprano's and "Get Gotti" this experience winds through the East Village & Little Italy visiting notorious Mafia and Crime locations sharing personal true crime stories and eating amazing food from the neighborhood. I did not attend the tour as it was pouring down rain and I did not feel that my kids needed to be out touring in that weather. There was no consideration at all when explaining this to TripAdvisor (they had to get approval on refund from tour guide which was denied) or the NYPD tour guide. After explaining I was unable to reschedule as I do not live in New York her response (tour guide) was to at least come eat since I already paid but that would mean we’d be sitting in the restaurant freezing as we were already soaked just walking out of hotel doors which I had already explained that we couldn’t get there in the rain. Just an FYI for anyone booking this tour they do not cancel based on weather and if you do not cancel in at least 24hr notice you will not be refunded. I do not recommend.
Guide was a Policewoman during 9/11 who helped save others that day, with amazing stories of her experience as once one of the only three policewomen. She served in Queens and had stories even involving the mafia. There were so many wonderful suprise stops along the way it really felt like stepping back in time. Dinner hit the spot and I heard other guests saying so as well!
The tour was very good and very informative. There were personal stories from our tour guide and this helps you to understand what it was like growing up at the time.
That is exactly what we aim for! Hearing that our walk helped you truly understand what it was like growing up during those intense eras is the ultimate compliment. As a team of retired NYPD detectives and officers, we do not just read textbook summaries or stick to a polished, rigid script. The personal stories we share come straight from our real-world experiences on the streets—the very same eras you see captured in hit Netflix crime documentaries like Get Gotti and Fear City, stretching all the way back to the classic Goodfellas era. Because our walk from the East Village into Little Italy is completely unscripted, every single tour turns into a unique conversation driven by our guests' curiosity, making each experience one-of-a-kind. We love giving people that raw, 360-degree perspective of New York history while treating them to some incredible local flavor, whether it is a world-class cannoli during the day or a classic plate of spaghetti and meatballs at night. Thank you so much for hitting the pavement with us! For anyone else looking for a high-value, authentic true crime experience led by the people who actually lived it, come grab a spot on our next stroll.

It was great to see the streets where the Mafia bosses came from
It really hits differently when you are standing on the exact pavement where that history went down. We love giving people that perspective. Since we are all retired NYPD detectives and officers, those streets aren't just historic sites to us—they were our actual precinct sectors and daily patrols back during some of the city's most intense true crime eras.Because we completely refuse to use a rehearsed script, our walk from the East Village into Little Italy is totally unscripted. It changes every single time based on the conversation, giving you a completely unique look behind the headlines you see in movies like Goodfellas or Netflix's Get Gotti. Thanks for joining us on the block!
